CCM for Helix
It would be nice to have self defined view. So in some place i could be able to define which columns i want to see and in which order. Every possible column would be predefined with default width.
This way everyone could make view he likes.
For example i would like to have view with column: name, rating, addition date, language flag, sd/hd/3d flag.
I know it's probably overkill to do that. I imagine gui could be list of columns with checkboxes and a number to sort then.

Yes, I'll fix the source code tonight - If you want to try and edit the skin on your machine I should be able to get you through it.

Sure, if it's no biggy and you tell me what to do/change, go ahead. I can find my way around "vi" ;-)

Find the file called "IncludesBackgroundBuilding.xml" and search for the code
Code:
<visible>!Player.IsInternetStream</visible>
at around line #208 and delete it.

That should fix it.

Problem is is "File Mode" there is no TVShow fanart registered to those episodes.

Try putting an image of the fanart you want to see in each of the episode folders and call it "folder.jpg"

If I put a folder.jpg, then the blue folder will show the picture, but background is still black.
If I add fanart.jpg then the background will show the fanart.jpg picture

But I have too many Shows to add pictures for them all Confused

Is it possible to keep the first background pic for episodes folders too?

And while we are at it. Anyone of you guys how to lock a projectM preset? I have been reading through wiki etc. keyboard shortcuts say it should be done with pressing "L". Tried it, but still my projectM presets shift every 15 seconds or so ....

Never mind, L seems to do the trick while in full screen vis.

I agree, it looks good - but a little too much black

We could get crazy and put it on top of the metal grill from thewarm

Tried this....in Black and then blue Steel

Maybe I view things the wrong way but I noticed a little thing....

On the Skin Settings General menu

"Enable Fanart Playing of Background Playing Media"
must be toggled ON for
"Enable Music Visualization on Home Screen" to be active.

I spent a little time trying to figure out why the latter of the two was grayed out (thought I was missing a needed script or service)....but I'm trying to figure out a way this could be remedied??

Removed that stipulation, was left in by error after changing my mind. Now it doesn't matter what "Enable Fanart Playing of Background Playing Media" is set to.

Tried your homescreen background, initially liked it, but don't think I'd be able to live with it & pretty sure there will be quite a few users who find it not to their taste. Anyway the image is posted and guys can download and use it if they desire.

Edit I'm actually finding the original CCM background too bright also - Do you have a copy of "blue steel" - I'm either getting old or thewarm has corrupted me Smile

You need to have your TVShows added to the library - the first fanart on ".." is the TVShow fanart, which gets added when scanning TVShows to your library. CCM works off your library database to get all it's media fanart, except as you have seen folder.jpg and fanart.jpg which must be in the directory being shown.

Sorry Dude, that would be a nightmare to code with what the Kodi skinning engine allows us.

Note that I've implemented a Category/Item system. The Categories (A, B etc) will stay consistent and the Items (1, 2, 3 etc) will retain their numbers even after they have been resolved/implemented. This is in case an issue returns after it had previously been thought resolved. Hopefully this will save some folks a bit of typing as they can refer to existing topics as "C2" or "F1". Also note that the items marked in GREEN are resolved/implemented and ones in BLUE are thought to be resolved, just waiting on feedback for confirmation.

Mudislander - anything I add to the list without your prior approval or requesting me to add (based on me keeping an eye on incoming posts) will not be assigned a number and will be marked as RED until you accept them onto the list. I suspect there will be very little of this since you typically weigh in quickly on topics (and I don't know simple from complex).

  • 2 randomand lastitems script sometimes bombs out -Use dynamic content instead?

Glad you made that change to the options menu! That one had me stumped for a bit.... Wink But I like to just have the visual filling the screen on black when I play music...it looks nice.

Link for Blue Steel Want a Lime Green Steel? Smile
Those colors can be dialed back a bit more, which I had done, guess the monitor I have isn't as good as it should be.

I hope thewarm doesn't get upset about these color changes....

BTW: I'm a Lime Convert!

Big Grin I guess we better add this one in then, I'd hate to spoil someone's porn collection - just hope it's not too big as this view is not the best for large lists.

Actually may as well chuck on the "FullWall List"

Image Another Lime Convert!!

Actually I must dig out Jezz's old Kryptonite Theme - got it buried somewhere, maybe a "Lime Green Steel" would go with that.

I'm sure "thewarm" is okay with us playing with his theme - most stuff that gets posted around here get's outrageously shanghaied. If not he can always ask us to stop.

BTW sometimes you guys really surprise me -

Quote:I like to just have the visual filling the screen on black when I play music...it looks nice.

Not something I'd have gone for, but sure - it's easy to do. Does that mean "black" behind the music viz on homescreen with no background at all?
