Thanks for that. I actually tried installing the dev release. However my version shows as 2.3.2 within Kodi. Does this mean I didn't install the dev correctly?

Have you removed all traces of the old addon first? That could be what is causing you to see the 2.3.2 still. I had a similar problem, mine was still showing 2.3.1 until I removed all traces before installing the Dev version.

No I never removed it and now I have a problem where the uninstall option is greyed out! Any idea if my only option is a clean install of kodi after first uninstalling it? Thanks for your help by the way.

Nah. You don't need to fresh install Kodi. Just go to your addon folder and remove the Trakt script and also in your user-data, addon-data and remove traces from there also. This will remove it from Kodi. Now get the newsest Dev release and install it from zip, this will enable the depencies as well (six, requests and pytz). Enter your credentials and it should work for all your update, scrobble, watch/unwatch status, removing from Trakt library when you remove from Kodi library, etc.....

I'm going to try this tonight after work! I'll let you know how I get on.

Many thanks
Just to clarify pytz is not used anymore.

@0141607
be careful, its still an alpha, it may nuke your profile. you should use a testprofile.

You mean the one from github? That's almost a year old. I've been only using the repository version which I guess is even older. Or with "development version" you meant the site?
We are talking about the fork be Razzeee https://github.com/Razzeee/script.trakt/tree/dev

Somebody really should update the first post of this thread!

Thanks. But why is that also 2.3.2? That's even more confusing.

it's not 2.3.2....Razzeee's fork is v3.0.0

Ah, ok. I guess I just reinstalled the old one Sad. But someone should change/remove "Clone this repository" link at Razzeee's github, it links to rectifyer's 2.3.2
Does the dev version from Razze works if i pause the show and then resume it after some time? (for scrobbling)

Last time I checked (a week ago?) it did.

it has been working for me as long as the api is responsive (i add that last bit mainly because of recent api activity)

It worked for me on every test I did.

I enabled the "show notification" in trakt addon and it shows everytime that is is scrobbling. It also does it on the Trakt.tv site.

Thanks for your help but I still have no joy. I removed the traces from the addon folder and it rolled back to 2.3.1. I then uninstalled trakt from kodi and removed any other traces. I followed the instuctions for the dev but there was no sign of trakt under services so I tried installing from the zip option and I selected the zip file from the dev. This enabled trakt within kodi but again is is showing as version 2.3.2Huh

EDIT: I made a mistake. When I was downloading the dev I was actually clicking on the link with blue text titled "download it here" instead of the download zip button on the right of the screen. I now have trakt 3.0.0 enabled however when I launch trakt to scrobble my updated library nothing happens. Any ideas?

I'm having an issue. I've got Kodi 14.0 (and tried 14.1 tonight) and my WATCHED entries are being sync'd fine - but ***my library / collection refuses to update?***
Last known update of my collection was Dec last year and I've added at least 10 things since then.
Is anyone else seeing this?

Sorry to bump my old post but I'm curious - am I the only one having this? Is everyones collection / library actually updating on the trakt website?

I don't have a fix for you unfortunately but I have this exact same problem. I am running the same version of Kodi and am running the 2.3.2 trakt plugin but like yourself the watched episodes/movies are syncing but my collection is not updating. This is a pain when I add a new show as it is not showing up in my calendar which I use everyday for downloading new episodes.

Ok well at least we know it's a consistent issue :/
How does one go about reporting bugs? or providing logs?

The version you are running is the problem. I believe the upkeep on it has stopped by the original developer. Look within the last 3 pages and find a link to razze's github. Version 3.0 or higher from his github is what you should be using.
Been following thread and like others very very confused about latest updated test release to get trakt working again.

Anyway with clarification gleamed in last few posts about Razzeee's fork being v3.0.0 @ https://github.com/Razzeee/script.trakt/tree/dev I have now removed traces of old version 2.3.1 on my Pi and installed the dev.zip from the Download ZIP link (dev.zip changelog.txt in dev.zip confirming currently v3.0.0)

Will give it a test on my Pi to my trakt account over next few days, thanks for all the work Razzeee :-)
