pvr.mythtv add-on
Thank you very much.

I poked around looking for links. I apologize for not poking enough.

It is a long thread Tongue

So, I can browse the Channel List, the Program Guide, schedule a recording from the Program Guide, Watch completed recordings, and Watch a recording in progress that was previously submitted.

Trying to watch a channel "Live" gives an "Channel unavailable"

Is perhaps my back end misconfigured?

I'll try to generate a log.

Hmmm....

I changed the backend setup for ipv6 to ::1 and now live tv works

I guess I gotta figure out my internal ipv6 network if I want to use ipv6
Reply
In mythtv-setup on the backend, what IP addresses are set up and did you disable ipv6?

Is the backend on the same machine?

OOps I see you already posted back and jhave fixed it. forget ipv6 unless you really need it. Too much pain.

Is rewind in live TV supposed to work? When I try it, it just hangs. Fast forward works fine. Rewind works fine when watching a recording. I'm running a .27.4 myth backend and openelec 5.0.2 on an Asus chrome box. PVR add on is version 1.11.2.

I never ever use rew/ff in kodi, but I know skip forward* and back works in pvr.mythtv.

*Assuming you are somewhere behind 'live'.

I updated to 1.12.1 and now it is working. Not great, but it works.

Hey janbar,

Any chance you have a compiled/updated version of your addon for RPi2? The current version being shipped with openelec (1.11.2) ends up crashing the RPi2 frequently.

Does the rpi version from https://www.canneasucre.org/owncloud/pub...enELEC-5.0 work?

No. On the Rpi2, version 1.12.1 crashes Kodi almost immediately when it connects to the MythTV backend.

Is there perhaps an OpenElec / Gotham build that would work on the Pi2?

I would take less bleeding edge over stability any day of the week. Right now I cannot even go in and disable the MythTv pvr add-on (1.12.1) before it crashes. I would not want to anyways as MythTV is the reason I bought the Pi2 in the first place.

If you disconnect your Ethernet cable (or, I assume, WiFi adapter) and restart your Rpi2, the MythTV PVR addon won't be able to access the backend, and OpenELEC will start without crashing. Then you can disable Live TV in the settings menu. That will allow you to use other functions of Kodi but not, of course, MythTV.

janbar has looked at this, but needs more debug information. Is there anyone out there who knows how to obtain what he needs?
