[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
I'm using the default skin and I can't get logos or box art to display on the overlay. They were working several months ago on Windows (like 6+ months ago) and I just decided to see if I could get them working again. I enabled the Dynamic Artwork service, but still nothing. Is there anything else I need to do to get this artwork downloaded and appearing? Maybe with Artwork Downloaded? I can't find any info on this. Thanks.
Is the ustvnow xml service built in to ptvl down for anyone else? My channels are now not appearing in epg, and don't see the xml download execute anymore when starting ptvl up. Going to download the xml manually but wondering if it is just me?

Same here ustv not showing up at all
Yea, I've been back messing with the latest version of PTVL to help try and problem solve.. I had the same issue, but now I can't even get ustv channels to show up at all in ptvl. Not sure if that is related.
Thanks for the feedback, well now that I know its not just my setup we need to send a debug log to Luna. I'm not infront of my setup so if Bigsteel or Tommy can post a debug log hopefully Luna can take a look at the issue sooner. If I don't see you guys post it, I will post one tonight when I get home.
Hey, are there any setup instructions anywhere for manually adding streaming channels to PTVL? The only I can find on then internet are either streams for PTV, or using the autotune feature in PTVL.

Im new to this addon so I am not sure if these are program errors or user error. I am unable to get ustv to create a channel (not sure if that has to do with the current ustv problem of if I just have no idea how to do it correctly). I am unable to load a channel for FTV favorites (I can do it with some "other" plugins however). And I can't get a channel to load from a Super Favorites folder.

If I try "Internet Tv" then "plugin" FTV then "favorite channels/channel, it never loads into the EPG. If I try "plugin" then FTV/favorite channels, it never lets me pick the next option (that would be the channel).

If I choose "Internet TV" and a Super Favorites folder (with a few streams I like) It never loads into the EPG, even though I chose streams for that folder that DO load into the EPG separately. So I am just not sure if Super Favorites can be used that way?

I just need a site that examples the proper way to add a channel from each of these sources, THEN I can start to problem solve and search the log for errors.
I just noticed with version .0.5.8e, that if you are using a channel as a directory it is only placing one video from that directory in the list of videos for that channel. I have tested multiple folders, and it will only place one video in the m3u file it creates. Here is the log file from the creation of that channel https://www.dropbox.com/s/6no9cyl2dlk2i5u/kodi.log?dl=0

You keep missing the correct option, you seem to not understand the channel types.

InternetTV Creates a channel that will play a live stream from different sources. It's for 24/7 single content with NO epg. You must fill in all details in the in-app manger when creating it, including description and set the time to something like 8000. DO NOT pick the super facourites folder, pick the specific stream in the super favourites folder. One stream per channel.

Plugin Channel type just takes the content of a folder in a plugin to add the items in an order to create a fake EPG, like local content. This is not ment for a single 24/7 stream.

You want LiveTV channel type, THEN plugin. You also need to define the xmltv file where the epg info is stored, and the channel's id in the xmltv file.

Ya, I sent Luna a debug log with this problem. At first I thought it wasn't randomizing like a previous error, but then I noticed its only the first alphabetic file repeated. Hopefully this will be fixed in next update.
The playback bar issues were on the skins end (Titan Media Browser). I informed the author and he added the update to the beta repo.

Also, there should be a timeout feature added to the channel manager. It's been a solid 20 minutes trying to just pull up the list of channels to choose from out of the donor list.
Thanks a million,

I am the sucker. I sent a donation to lunatiXk. Then went to this site to pm him as directed above. What I got back was a note telling me I could not send him a pm because I was on his IGNORE list. All I'd done to deserve that was ask one question one time. Wanted to donate because he fixed the addon just a day after I asked the question.

So now I'm a stuck sucker.
Dr Dan

Edit : Luna did finally get back to me. Says he'll get around to filing out login info at his first opportunity. Ahhh the impatience of youth.
wanted to thank Lunatixz for this program.... it gets better and better the more I learn ways to make channels.... this is exactly what Ive been after since the boxee box. sorry my learning curve was a bit long, but wow, great program..... THANK YOU!!!

Thanks again. It's just hard for me to tell what is not working due to programming problems or user error.

I was hoping to be able to make a "mix" channel using Super Favorites. Add a few classic TV shows in a folder, then make a channel that plays then random (to mimic the "category" channels you find in the community streams).

At least now I have a better Idea of what CAN and CAN'T be done. I autotuned in the ustv channels, but they currently are still not working in PTVL, so I'll just wait for a fix.

Thebbest advice I can give you, follow luna on Twitter he has a posted a few instructional videos, Always test the streams first, if they work in kodi there is a good chance they will work in PTVL
