[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution

Rastan I think your problem is in hitting "x". For PTVL you need to hit "esc" to get out of the program properly.

Seems you're right PTVL does indeed exit properly with esc. (Thankyou Smile) I have always used "X" till the update before this one and it has always worked. "X" also exited on the original PsuedoTV.
I have a suggestion, maybe the "X" button should be disabled when PTVL is launched as it is the default stop key for Kodi. Or better yet get it to behave like esc does (like it always used to be).

Unless there is a setting I have missed somewhere that toggles this behaviour.

Actually its depends on the chtype that is playing when you stop. PseudoTV Live isn't meant to stop playing... If you stop while playing a local file the reason it exits is because you forced an error.

If you press stop while watching streaming content, PseudoTV Live handles that by assuming the link is dead... and ignore the stop request.

Escape has always been the proper way to exit PseudoTV Smile

Thanks for the explanation Luna. I probably never noticed because I use mainly local media. Esc key it is Blush
Hey anyone know where I can download channel logos from would appreciate it thanks?

Just my luck I post a hacky workaround for my EPG lagging the day a new version comes out that properly fixes it anyways. Apologies; back to lurking then.
Update to latest PTVL version! V.0.5.8e is old... Sluggish EPG should be fixed.

I don't recommend users to make hacky changes to the code, only makes things worse. Submit details and logs and wait for proper fixes via, updates Smile

SWEET!!!!!
WOW, the initial video scanning is like night and day quicker, from the previous version.
Downloaded new f version, see some really cool stuff already. Big problem I have is epg is not populating with my supplied xml or the supplied ustvnow. I keep seeing "index is out of range" and a chance to submit error log. I submitted, do we still need to provide debug log as well or do you get enough with the new error submit?

Should note as well that the channel still works it's just epg is blank. Also the epg is being read as info gives me proper summary of current program, just epg display seems borked

Found more weirdness when I go to the menu system with on demand (sry don't know proper name) and select "on now" all channels show what is currently playing.

Probably a bad xmltv download, then corupt cache.

Try the following, if it doesnt work submit log.

Delete the files found under userdata/addon_data/script.pseudotv.live/cache/xmltv

In PTVL settings/MISC enable clear system cache.

Enable force channel reset
Make sure xmltv service is enabled

Also double check that the settings2 is correctly configured for ustvnow.

Run PseudoTV Live, it should populate correctly, submit any errors you receive.

Thanks for suggestions, I tried them all with no luck and went a step further. I have now deleted settings.xml and settings2.xml, and removed the entire cache folder. I set it for autotune only USTVNow and clear system cache with a force reset. I let everything finish and wait for the art spooler to let me know its finished. I then open guide where I see no listings in EPG but get an error. I submit error and it automatically returns to channel 1. I open guide again, get error again, I say don't submit and PTVL crashes. I PM debug log.

Thanks for looking into it.
Nice update! Good to hear about the sluggish EPG being fix, I assumed that was a problem on my side Tongue

Thank you for extending the playback timeout limit.

Have a good weekend Luna Big Grin

Its not ustvnow, looks like the errors related to EPG Genre color, disable it till I can push a fix.

This one is strange for me, one machine it seems to work...yet another it is doing the same thing, one video

Did you by chance try to recreate the directory channel?
