[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
Sorry for the confusion. i am talking about Kodi screensaver and Power saving features to shutdown the system when idle.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2ojmIn...sp=sharing
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2ojmIn...sp=sharing

I dont even run PTVL in the log above, i just start Kodi and left it idle. Once i uninstalled PTVL, then the Kodi screensaver would start when i leave the system idle. I believe PTVL is stopping the Kodi screensaver from starting because its not letting the system go into an idle state.

This is the order of operations:

1: Turned on Kodi
2: Left it sit idle to see if the Kodi screensaver would start
3: It didnt after 3 min.
4: waited longer and left it idle as Kodi is to shutdown the PC after 60 min. It didnt not
5: waited longer and left it idle, then uninstalled PTVL.
6: left it idle longer and the screensaver started to work properly again
Cheers!

And you have no other kodi plugins installed?

What makes you believe its PTVL thats at fault?

I ask because, my kodi screensaver works as it should. I don't have code that effects kodi's idle timer.

If you can find a direct relationship between your problem and PTVL I would be happy to fix it.

I believe that its PTVL because it is the only plugin i uninstalled and the screensaver started working again.

I will work on doing a fresh install and only install PTVL and see if that will point to the issue
i too as of late have this screensaver issue. havent had time to pick at it yet. but i will try and uninstall ptvl and see if the issue goes away for me. i have many addons and dont know if its them or ptvl.
will post back
My screensaver works as normal with PTVL installed. I'm on openelec.
i just tested my setup with ptvl uninstalled and screensaver/dim came back...
Hey Luna,

I noticed you added a few new internettv channels to the community list, however, they don't appear to be working. I think the problem is that the links appear to have been shortened as they contain ellipses (...) in the middle of each. I would definitely be interested in these channels if you knew what the correct links were.

Thanks =)
Hey Luna, I know your probably really busy with other things to fix and all, but I was just wondering is there any chance of sometime adding something in the future that will be able to work with these types of things in the pictures below in PseudoTV live.
Thanks

Hi Luna

If I may, I'd like to revisit a request made last year (here)...

Is there any way to assign a remote key AND keyboard press in PTVL to trigger the CODECINFO overlay display ? Neither the "Guide" button on the remote, nor "O" keyboard command, get any response while playing video from within PTVL.

Searching this thread for "CODECINFO" nets precious little except a reference to a line from the changelog:
Code:
[*] New Overlay Keymaps - Showsubtitles, NextSubtitle, CodecInfo and aspectratio.

...suggesting you have indeed enabled this display since v.0.4.5.

However, I must be looking in all the wrong place(s), because nowhere can I find comments/instructions on how to do this in Keymap Editor.

The README from post #1 does indicate 'ACTION_SHOW_CODEC' as the command to use, but I'm unable to find it in any Keymap Editor dialog. If I missed it, could somebody please hit me over the head with an RTFM... with perhaps a "step-by-step".

If this has not been implemented, it would be really great (and nice to maintain continuity with the rest of xbmc/Kodi) to assign the "Guide" key to trigger the overlay. (since there's presently no response to "Guide"/"O", I presume there's no issue assigning it within PTVL)

Thanks again Luna, for the incredible work you do, making PTVL the topline addon for xbmc/Kodi.

Only just realized I am using 14.0. Upgrading to 14.1 and starting again.

Update: I dug a bit deeper. The repo zip points to "http://raw.github.com/Lunatixz/XBMC_Addons/master/zips" which redirects you to "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Lunatixz/XBMC_Addons/master/zips" and promptly dumps you to a "Not Found" error.
For reference the exact same repo zip works in OpenELEC. I can only assume its something odd with my windows setup (althout to be fair Kodi is one of only about 10 things installed on it)
A follow up. For reference my Kodi for windows addons dont like using a proxy whereas OpenELEC does (causing the symptom of repo showing as empty).

So as predicted not a PseudoTV Live at all.

Hey Luna, I seem to be unable to recycle channels in PTVL. If I have a channel and try to change it, I can't alter some of the fields. In this case, I am trying to add a "Live Tv" channel where there was once "Internet Tv".(Ptvl seems to remember the previous data) If I scroll down to "Channel Id" and select it (To enter the data), I get "Buffering, please wait" and I have to restart Kodi to get out of it. Here is my log, only the last few lines will pertain...

http://pastebin.com/UR3XggeZ

Actually, it in not only in recycled channels. If I choose "Channel ID" at all, PTVL freezes.
Hi Luna,

I am having some issues on the 0.5.8G:

1) Artwork spooler is taking forever (last night it took 1000 sec) btw my artwork is on a samba share
2) While the artwork spooler is running, PTVL is unable to exit. I get the removing file locks in the notifications and the message Exiting on the screen with the blue tint until the spooler is done, which takes a looong time (no way to go back or exit any other way, after a few minutes I have to do a hard reboot if I don't want to wait too long)
3) Some media start playing from the start. This issue was fixed a while back. A lot of times, the media would initially start at the beginning but within a second it would seek to the correct time. It no longer does this.

While the spooler is running, the epg shows no artwork, but the info page does. I didn't really wait until spooler is done to see whether artwork shows up on the epg. The spooler takes too long and my patience runs out before that :-)

I'll post a log later today when I build up more patience :-)

Thanks
Hi Lunatixz, first time poster, thanks for this great plugin! I previously used the original PseudoTV, but stopped because it was plagued with a bug where certain shows of mine would populate the guide as lasting infinitely. As seen in this screenshot:

Image

PseudoTV Live had this bug squashed, and I've been using it with no issue for many months. But as of one of the last couple updates this issue has returned (currently running 0.5.8g). You can see in the screenshot above channels 2, 3, and 5 are all showing half hour programs that populate the entire guide for that channel. On switching to this channel, I'll see the last few seconds of the show advertised and it will go on to another show. Bring the guide back up and that channel will show the guide back to normal. But the problem is, each time one of these shows populates the guide, the problem repeats, with that channel perpetually stuck on the show until i switch to that channel to clear it up. This is happening with about 10 or so of my shows, and was not happening until like I say, the last couple of updates. I have posted a logfile http://xbmclogs.com/pjlfts1zr that I hope can help shed some light on this. I admit I did not go over 500 pages of this thread to see if this issue was covered already, but a search for the issue didn't uncover anything. I am using Pseudo TV Live on Kodi 14.1 Windows 7 (on a high end machine), and two Raspberry Pi 2 boxes running OpenELEC. All three have developed the issue over the last week or so. If I can provide any other info or files I am glad to help get this sorted out. Thank you again for your time!

You are not alone, I am seeing this on half dozen channels where it wasn't happening with the last update
