Hi,
Newbie here. I've got a very basic question.
How do I get Kodi from my computer (windows 8) to my television?
Here's my setup:
Kodi 13.2
PC Windows 8
Roku 3
Plex Media Server (the unsupported app store is down, I believe this may have been an option?)
Chromecast
I can watch movies, etc... fine on my computer, but I'm lost as how to get Kodi to my t.v.
Do I need FireTV? Or, is there a better option?
Thanks

Yes I guess you'll need an HDMI cable running from your graphic card to the TV (VGA might be possible if the TV has those inputs). If you have a good gfx system, hitting win+p key should bring up the options for the display switch.

Another option is to get your self one of the android devices with Kodi/XBMC installed on it. They are very small and could practically be invisible in your setup. I have one of the M8 boxes and so far they have worked flawlessly in running anything I could through at from my NAS drive as well as youtube etc. streaming. The version I have still runs XBMC latest version. I have not upgraded to a Kodi release yet.

I use kodi for my HTPC because it's connected directly to my tv and runs via wired lan to my PC/server. My other to is not near either of my devices so I use another type of streaming software call MEZZMO. It's not anywhere near as pretty as Kodi but functions well enough to stream movies. Setup is simple and a great alternative.
It's free to trail but only $25 to buy. A good cheap investment.

I currently have "Plex".
I've been trying to get the unsupported app working. I watched a "how to" video to install the unsupported app store bundle, it seems to be as basic and simple as it can be. However, the unsupported app channel doesn't show up on Plex.
I think this would be the easiest way to view Kodi on my TV, but can't figure it out.
Anyone here using Plex to view Kodi?
Thanks again

You have the Plex Media Server, or Plex Media Theater, or a Plex app on your mobile device, or the Plex channel on Roku, etc.?? You can't use "Plex to view Kodi". You can use Plex to create a new database from the same content you use Kodi for, and then use Plex only. Or you can use Kodi to use the Plex database by installing an addon. Then you only have one database.
Easiest way:
Setup the plex media server on your PC. Hook up the Roku to your tv and install the Plex channel. Done.
Sure that is simplified, and there are many steps to each of those operations, but after all - this is the Kodi forum and not Plex.

When I say the same content, i mean the same files. This is outside of Kodi. Has nothing to do with Kodi.
You keep saying "to use Kodi, or to view Kodi". Once you set up the PMS and the plex channel, Kodi is not used at all. Two separate entities.
