Recently I migrated to Helix... and of course CCM for Helix. May I take this opportunity to thank you for continuing to support CCM into this new age of Kodi (I've been on CCM since first loading up Frodo ). It really is amazing how much care you put into what we folks see, when we turn our screens on and fire up Kodi - and I want to express my appreciation.

May I also ask a couple questions, and request a small enhancement to the audio volume display...

Q1: Does CCM-4-H support the VideoExtras add-on ? I'm trying to work this add-on into my library setup, and have read many (most) skins do not work with this "out of the box". If not already, would you consider adding it to your to-do list ? (from wiki: Add-on:VideoExtras#Skin_Modifications)

Q2: In CCM (Gotham), the movie info display had a button to launch Artwork Downloader for that specific title... has this been dropped in Helix - or is it another to-do list item ? I really miss being able to fetch missing artwork when scrolling through the library.

ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: Audio Volume Display Bar
In CCM (Gotham) the bar graph indicator (for audio level) included a decibel value beside the bar (ie: "-15.5 dB"). I really miss having this little bit of information. Is it possible to add this into CCM-4-H please, just like it looks in CCM (Gotham) ?

I have something that just popped up a day or so ago when scrolling through my movies I'm getting a quick flash of what I think is the default fan art for kids playlist (Horton, Madagascar, and Shrek). Did something change in the last few days that would cause that? I haven't changed anything that I know of.

Not good news! Probably from the quick fix to get music showing again on home screen. - I think I'm becoming a fan of a single image global background

The background file has become overly complicated, maybe time to delete it and re-start as there's easier ways of doing it. Anyway I'll look into it.

I know you are busy just thought I'd see if you'd had any luck with this one. I use the global background image, and scrolling the home menu I don't notice it at all. Where I notice it the most is scrolling through movies between movie fanart changes. Sometimes it's a quick flash almost unnoticeable other times it shows up for a second or two. Again just a check up I know you have several things going at once!!

Is there a way to code the home screen addons thru the skin itself? I'm trying to code my addon sets right into the plugin so that when I enable the skin it will create my addons on the home screen but having no luck. Anyone know what xml to edit to adjust AddonSet.Label, AddonSet.Icon, AddonSet.Path? Thanks

I saw this on a build a guy did with Aeon Nox. He added some tv shows to Library in Genesis and then created TVshow on Menu bar and added the Genesis library as a source. With CLEAR LOGO it showed the name of all series that he had saved in library on a menu bar . On CCM it dont have clear menu just lists, posters, wall etc. Is there a way you might add Clear logo as a view option? I cant show you the video he created due to it only being shared in a FB kodi build group.

Yes,, goto skin settings/background artwork The top you see Background Path and the category Click SINGLE IMAGE and go find your picture for that category and hit OK. Move on to next one you want to change.
Make sure to UNCHECK Enable Single Global Background

A Question for All and Sundry regarding the display of Banner Art for Movies:

I have banner art for many of my movies (ie: "A Good Day to Die Hard (2013)-banner.jpg"), stored locally in the individual folder of the same name. Using the "Media info 3" view, and with "Use Wide Banners" enabled, the Movies list showed the banner art in the left column for the bulk of the entries.

There have been some scraping and re-scraping shenanigans lately (trying to get more complete/accurate info), and now - with the exception of a couple entries - the banners fail to display, despite the option being checked in the slide out options panel.

HOWEVER, entering the info screen for a specific movie and using the Choose Art button... and selecting the available banner from "Local art", then causes the banner art to show in the Movies list.

[BTW: likewise for existing Clearlogo art as well]

The Question: how to force existing local artwork to display, without going through each art element for every individual movie ? Which database has been messed up ?

Tips & explanations would be very welcome - and save a weekend's worth of click, click, click

Hi, recently I started using CCM for Helix skin, fantastic piece of work! Anyway, I tried to configure the video streams and noticed that thumbs are not displayed when pressing Info in the video playback. This only happens for streaming media. Thumbs are displayed correctly everywhere else but not in the Info OSD during playback. Not sure if this is a skin problem or generic Kodi problem.

After updating to CCM Helix 3.0.14 no more banners in Media Info 3 view. Why?

EDIT: after switching to Hybrid skin and then back to CCM all ok again. Strange

where we have: channelname___short-EPG in one line and at the last line next-EPGinfo (Pic 1)
At the right/left/bottom the long-EPG as you see in the Pictures
Then you can see much more channels in the list.

hey mud.... first time.... but love your work..... i setup my own then my 2 nieces with a copy of mine using ccm helix.... looking great.... but a problem i am having is the setup punching back into the original confluence setting ?...... is there a reason for this and a cure... many thanks pinky

Could be paths etc are different between the various systems. I know a lot of guys just copy across systems, but I wouldn't suggest it.

What's this? Looks like Hybrid you talking about the genre icons or studio icon ?

Careful what you mention So are you basically saying a media view with clearlogo's like maybe the logowall in Hybrid ? or can you try a screen grab of the video.

Try adjust the settings on Artwork Downloader to use "Local Art" and then run it. I've noticed the same problem when switching in and out of profiles for different skins on this laptop.
