I've not even looked at "15.0 alpha 2", so wouldn't know if it works or not. Out of Interest where did you get CCM from.

Only interested in helping if it's my latest version of CCM. Otherwise could be running in circles for days.

Don't no what I did all I no is in settings - appearance -shins it shows ccm helix but under add ons hybrid repository not there , can't for the life of me think how I did it

Would all menu become vertical? or just certain menu choices? I have no issue with vertical inside my Saved Tv Show folder..

Just go to "Skin Settings", enable "Multi-Image" and point to your Pics folder. You don't need to change any XML

So then use "Single Image path" - I agree with Solo0815, you don't need to edit xml files for this.

I could use Single Image path from the skin settings but when I do tyhe path ends up being
/sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons/backgrounds/musicvideos.jpg
That wont work if I want to use my build on a windows PC or anything other than android.

So the question is,what is the best practice to create a folder with images outside of the skin folder and is there a way to use the special:// context for the path so it then will work on all systems?

CCM is working fine for me on Win 7 with 15.0 Alpha2. Problem is since they changed the Addon Browser, I can't force update/refresh anything. That option is gone!
Make sure you have the latest version of CCM!

Hey again, i finally got the time to fully migrate to Kodi Helix with CCM Helix.

So far so good, everything is working and (almost) looking and acting like it did before the switch to Kodi (yay!).

As always: awesome work with CCM!
But there are three things that bother me right now:

1. for some reasons i see some kind of Madagascar (i think the movie is called like that) Wallpaper/Fanart/Backdrop/whatever everytime i select a movie/entry that does not have a wallpaper. where does this madagascar thing come from? I do not have that movie! And how do i get rid of it?

2. all main menu entries work as they should (Movies, 2D-Movies, 3D-Movies, Series, etc.). But for some reasons the "Concerts" entry does NOT offer my preferend view typ "Fanart". It worked fine in XBMC but it does not seem to be available in Kodi.

3. when selecting the "Series" main menu entry i always get the "recommended episode" thingy even though i did NOT activate it (i choose "added recently" als widget set). The movies menu items have the exact same settings (added recently) and do NOT show the recommended episode / movie (this is how it should be for series, too ).


Oh and just a quick question:
there are some "Skin Presets" for Menu Entries like "Anime, HD-Movies, family movies, etc). Could you add a Skin-Preset for 3D Movies, too?

Ulathar, about point 1., that wallpaper/fanart/backdrop you are talking about is the default for playlists. You can change it by going 'System \ Skin \ Background Artwork and selecting the menu item that has that background and changing it to one that you like. Just make sure you have a new backdrop sitting somewhere that is accessible to Kodi eg, I have a folder called 'Menu Backgrounds' that I put in the userdata folder. the 'Menu Backgrounds' folder has all of my preferred backgrounds sitting in it and as part of the setup, I navigate to this folder and select each one that I want to use for each home menu item.

Movie sets default to "full wall" view. I would like them to show in "media info 3", like my movies library is set to, but the only way I can do this is to set each set manually. Can I get them to default to "media info 3"?

Hi All

Recently (like within the last two CCM4H updates) I've noticed two items disappear from view:

1) the "Paused" icon, usually found in the lower right corner of the screen

2) the "Buffering... xx%" message - when streaming video pauses to fill the PB buffer (again, lower right area of screen).

Perhaps it's an isolated problem with the OS (running latest OpenELEC, v5.0.8), since nobody else has reported this, and I presume OE users are a small percentage of the CCM4H group.

I noticed this happening with CCM4H v3.0.14, and it continues with v3.0.15. FYI, the relevant skin settings are as follows:

In desperation, tried enabling the "Original Confluence Popup Seek Bar" thingie, but still nothing shows onscreen when video playback is paused. Curious.

I'm not quite sure how to investigate this behaviour - all tips and advice would be welcome.

For example, maybe a complete reinstall of CCM4H will set this right -OR- maybe a folder of images has gone missing (I've no concept of how skins actually do their magic, so how do I look for something that's missing ?). What steps do I take to remove ALL traces of CCM4H if a complete reinstall is needed ?

UPDATE (2015-Apr-15):
Got it sorted. A simple uninstall/reinstall did the trick. Some rogue thing must have corrupted an element, because now all appears as it was before I noticed the problem(s).

Steps taken:
Revert to stock Confluence skin / uninstall CCM Helix / delete "skin.ccm.helix-3.0.15.zip" from "...\storage\.kodi\addons\packages" folder / reboot / install CCM Helix from Hybrid Development Repo / switch to CCM Helix and confirm skin settings

I don't know, how the "Artist Slideshow"-addon is working, but if you look at Home.xml it is called by
