I came specifically to see what the word was about that devicesupport video. Good to see you're on top of it, bromix. Youtube remains easily my single most used addon.
If many other people come asking, it might be worth including a note in the original post letting them know you're fixing it. But if it's just me and velvet, it's probably not necessary.

Aren't they breaking APIv1 also? The google announcement specifically calls out older smart TVs.

Ahh! That's actually their brand-new HTML5 client, the one they want everybody to use, material design and all. If that uses APIv1, it should be perfectly safe.

I could have answered my own question regarding the new subscription method, I have 7 full pages (50 items) and page 8 which has 3 items.
For some reason Watch Later, Liked, Videos and History are blank and/or have been populated by most recent plugin viewed videos, On youtube.com everything works fine and has been updated properly too. Cache problem or bug?
