Can anyone help me? When I'm watching a configured channel sometimes it ends the show I'm watching early and jumps into the next one up. Example, watching Seinfeld this morning. There was probably 5 minutes left in the program then it stopped, said loading at the bottom and jumped right into My Name is Earl.

What's with this? Did I overlook a configuration setting in addon settings?
Never mind I see why sorry
I can't seem to get plugin channels to work how can I make it happen

I have. It was the first thing I tried. Also the second. And I tried it again just now to no avail.

Are we supposed to re-enter every update? Also is there a way to not hide the text entered when entering the username:password it can be a little difficult to make sure you copy the code correctly when you can't see what you're entering...

It's not required to reenter info after each update... But you said you have a problem... and ATM there are absolutely no known issues; so you have to rule out issues on your end... I'd try reentering info, click okay... try again.
I tried this also many times. I flushed dns and made a reset on my router.

I still have the problem with the donor activation since the latest update of PTVL. Before this update it worked.
In the settingsgui in Kodi and also in the settings.xml file it's activated. I can make in the Kodi PTVL addon settingsgui donorships changes for autotuning.

When I launch PTVL for autotuning, the popup wants that I activate donor options. The popup comes the moment, when PTVL want to use my options who came with the donorship, such as autotuning plugins.

I tried it on three htpc's now. I can reach http://pseudotvlive.com/ and can log in there.
So could it be my network?

BTW. Community list are working now for me.
hello i have two simple questions:

*How can i add a LIVE youtube channel with a single live transmition ? ( for example i want one channel whith this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtBlWhYI32w ) what kind of youtube channel i must choose?

*i see on deman option , but i dont know how to activate this

tahnks a lot!

you need to provide more info - we can't help you based on that
Back with logs! I'm still having issues with XMLTV and getting the data to work in the EPG.

Here's my log: http://xbmclogs.com/pm8nyozsn

Here's my settings2.xml: http://xbmclogs.com/pv5npczdw

Here's my xmltv.xml (created using mc2xml): http://xbmclogs.com/pnt0cmtl9

I'd really love to get XMLTV data to work...currently it says "Guide-data from xmltv is currently unavailable." When I try to use the channel configuration and select "Channel ID", it tells me "XMLTV ERROR: IMPROPER FORMATTING", so I just enter it manually into settings2.xml The xmltv file has not been tampered with in any way. Any help would be appreciated!

HDHR auto tuning is "independent", hehe from Kodi... So doubtful source paths matter....

I have two kodi installs the one was running an older version of PseudoTV Live and it was working with the HDHomerun Prime. When I upgraded that one to the new version it did continue to recognize my channels after the upgrade. I then tried an experiment where I reran the autotune and now I have the same problem as my new installation. It does not see the channels from the HDHomerun Prime. Maybe this has something to do with the new firmware. I just upgraded the firmware on the HDHomerun Prime a few days ago.

Quote:If you have a HDHR Prime, and a XMLTV file that includes channels the HDHR found...

Then setting up is extremely simple... using strms is only required for the old "Dual" HDHR tuners..
Which is the reason you don't see a prompt for a directory location for strms... they are not needed with the prime.

So if you have prime, and xmltv file... follow these steps!

Open HDHR's webpage for your device and favorite the channels you want in PTVL...

Open PTVL settings

Start clean :: Utilities clear channel configurations.

Go to DVR make sure xmltv path is correct

If you want full artwork in EPG then make sure "find missing info" is enabled in tweaks.

Select autotune HDHR Prime, click okay

PTVL will prompt you to correct any mismatched listings... Thats it.

The above instructions were what I received as the proper integration for the HDHomerun Prime with PTVL (0.6.3i). It looks like you are using the uPNP resources to integrate your HDHomerun Prime.

I have had no luck following these instructions. A Wireshark packet trace showed me that my HDHR Prime was NOT responding to the packets sent by PTVL. This started me asking about Firmware as my HDHR Prime updated late last month. I will do another update, tonight, to see if this makes any change.

BUT, the fact remains. A Wireshark trace does not lie. I'm a data networks tech support guy by decades of background. If I see a one-way transaction, I know that something ain't happening.

I am using a Beelink R89 ARM server with Android Kitkat and XBMC Gotham (Kodi). I've been working on integrating my HDHR Prime with PTVL since 0.6.3a. I was able to get PTVL to recognize my HDHR Prime when set to AutoTune with HDHomerun Dual - STRMs mode and the directory location of the .strm files I created with the http url for every channel in my HDHR Prime. A valid xmltv.xml file was also requred. I got this file from my account at Schedules Direct. But, the EPG would be totally screwed-up. I posted this info with some screen shots of the messed-up channel order and EPG.

I was told that I needed to use the HDHomerun Prime/Extended - Favourites selection in AutoTune. I was also provided some great answers with regard to the difference between AutoTuning with the Prime/Extended - Favourites and the HDHomerun Dual - STRMs selections. You should check it out.

But, there was no mention as to using the uPNP configuration option for the HDHomerun Prime.

If you're experience is with using PTVL with Kodi on Windows PC servers, then it seems that there might be a coincidence in HDHR Prime integration on more than one platform with the current PTVL release.

Again, checkout the current conversation at:

It looks like you and I, and all those to chicken to post for getting flamed or ignored, are having this same issue.

Would you provide/post info as to your server platform?

Also, what Firmware are you running in your HDHR Prime?

I'll provide mine in the next post.

You might have better luck getting support as I'm certain I'm heading for the cagado list from all the postings I've made due to my continuing HDHR Prime support problems on the Android platform.

Might I STRONGLY suggest the Silicondust HDHomerun PVR solution? This solution is currently supported for Kodi with WD My Cloud NAS units. This was a Kickstarter campaign $249 Bundle. In beta, it has been much kinder to me than PTVL. I started out looking for a Live TV application that would allow me to use direct tuning of channels. The Kodi Live TV did not do this, but PTVL did. The Sillicondust product also supports direct tuning and PVR functionality with a tech-support department. The almost daily updates, forum responses and problems/suggestions implementation, as well as their quick email tech-support interaction, are refreshingly positive and supportive.

I'm just giving this application the ol' college try in order to sharpen my troubleshooting skills and update my XBMC knowledge from that of my salad days when I used an original XBOX to run original XBMC. I've already started developing a complex. Can you tell?

Best regards,

it's painful to read your proclamations.

If you spent some time reading... and less writing... you could learn something... like

You are using "Gotham" NOT a current release build "Helix"

You are not using my repo, but some third party crap!!

You are not listening to my instructions... I've tried to help you...

lastly, UPNP is your tangent not mine...

Is anyone else having trouble with the USTVNow add-on? It suddenly has stopped working for me. Here's a log:

http://xbmclogs.com/pnv7a2h0e

I've triple-checked my login info and I still have no channels listed under "Live" I'm sure it's something on my end.

Wow! I guess I pissed you off!

BUT...

It also seems that MEGAZONE is using the wrong "tangent"? uPNP? Looks like you mis-read something.

It also looks like PTVL requires the Helix release of Kodi.

AND, Total XBMC is a 3rd party crap site. Only the Lunatixz Repository should be used.

I'm really disappointed to find out that it takes "proclamations" to get a response if you're not a fellow developer or Huh

Where is this information posted in your pinchi forum?

I've been a tech support guy for over 25 years for many OEMs. I've received many statements, like yours, from many developers - hardware, software, firmware, etc. It has never presented a problem to me due to the fact that such statements are made by technical personnel with no idea of what customer advocacy or usability are about. They are personnel that no OEM puts in front of customers/user without some kind of leash holder.

I would strongly suggest that you look into some guidance in the area of interfacing with non-developers.

I would more strongly suggest, for your sake, to post an "intended audience" statement for this forum. If you intend that no one other than developers refer to the terse, assuming, TLA/jargon-filled and non-deprecated outdated postings, then you should save the rest of us non-developer user the time and frustration inherent in this form. You are wide of the mark of having a support resource for PTVL in this forum.

I would also suggest that you perform a roll-up of the seminal information in this forum. The 3 posts that are MUST READ are a total joke! Again, terse, assuming, TLA/jargon-filled and non-deprecated outdated postings. And, yet you have forum users helping you with documentation that you will review and post? Another "horse by committee".

WIKI articles with known best practices would really help. You should try to "say what you do, do what you say and measure the results". If listening to you is my "problem", then, your adherence to this type of process is what makes PTVL as user hostile as your response to my posting for today.

You are in dire need of a sanity check on your event horizon. Time to stop feature development and do a usability test on the platforms you claim to support. You need to get these supported platforms solid or drop a few and concentrate on the best. I suggest you drop Android. PTVL does not support Android at 100%. I can only get about 75% reliability. I guess you get what you pay for. Plus harassment.

My attempt at providing collateral in all my postings made those postings long. If that bothered you, you should have stated this. I was just trying to show you that I had invested the time to read postings and articles outside this forum in order to present useful information to you. AND, it only frustrated you?!

No wonder there are more folks looking for answers in this forum instead of contributing. They're all afraid of being flamed into the stone age for trying to help or just plain telling you their question is not to be answered by the vapid writings in this form.

My only remaining question is "How old are you?"

Have a nice day, pendejo!

Cerafin

P.S. - Funny how you refer to my postings as "proclamations". I guess a user with Jesus Christ as his icon would know about proclamations. I guess I can also link all the times the name Jesus Christ came to mind or spoken word when I was dealing with all the Android PTVL issues I encountered over the last 2 months to your icon.

AND, PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! Complete your flaming me with as high a WARNING LEVEL percentage as you can! It would really complete your temper tantrum. Puerco sin verguenza!
Luna, I've just read the FAQ and realized that I needed to put my XMLTV file in UTF-8 format, yet on the third post of this thread it says

XMLTV must use it's default encoding format "ISO-8859-1" do not enable "UTF-8"

I tried both ways and I still am not having any luck with XMLTV...here's an updated log and XMLTV/settings2 using UTF-8...the previous post I did was with ISO.

log: http://xbmclogs.com/pkqe1tcmb
settings2: http://xbmclogs.com/pzruzgzjl
XMLTV: http://xbmclogs.com/pgq15z8q7

Thanks again!
