You take a list of facts, as an attack on you? and my choice of words has no biblical meaning! I felt it best describes your style of posts...

It's disturbing you feel I didn't try to help you... did you forget about your other posts?
IMO, I think your technical prowess has caused you to overlook some obvious issues on your end.

I understand PTVL can be a lot to handle, but when dealing with "Autotuning" it's really quite simple.
Admittedly my documents aren't up to snuff... but I'm a one man show, and have little time to document the ongoing development of this plugin.
Perhaps when it's finished I'll have nothing better to do then create write ups? fan/user writeups are always welcome...

I think your attitude needs to change, I'm not a big company with millions of dollars and thousands of employees. Nor am I developing a product for sale....
This is a hobby that is posted here freely to use, the amount of support I decide to give is up to me... don't be offended but I have a life outside of this forum...

XMLTV must use it's default encoding format "ISO-8859-1" do not enable "UTF-8"

I tried both ways and I still am not having any luck with XMLTV...here's an updated log and XMLTV/settings2 using UTF-8...the previous post I did was with ISO.

log: http://xbmclogs.com/pkqe1tcmb
settings2: http://xbmclogs.com/pzruzgzjl
XMLTV: http://xbmclogs.com/pgq15z8q7

Thanks again!

HaHa figures it would...

I've had mixed results with ISO formating... Don't know why... UTF-8 seems to work well within XBMC...

Please post your future help and logs in the bug thread: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=221352

The reason you might not be seeing changes between formating is because there is a 24hr cache on reading xmltv data...
Users can't purge the data... so you need to delete the cache files located in the xbmc install folder.

Lunatixz,

I updated to 15 RC1 on Fire tv the other night and since then PTVL cannot find my PVR backend. I sent you my log file with debugging enabled via PM 2 days ago. Just making sure you are aware of it.

Thanks for the info bry- I'll wait patiently Smile

I'll continue to use UTF-8 then. I had no idea the bug thread existed. I'll start using it from now on. My apologies for not seeing that and spamming the main thread!

I'll give this a test when I get home and will post results/logs to the BUG thread Smile thanks Luna for the advice.

P.S., you do mean "Kodi", not "xbmc", right? Tongue (joking)

Has anyone had issues with PTVL using metadata for channel type "TV Show"? I scraped all my local content automatically using TVDB all default setting and Kodi finds all descriptions and fan art and episode images just fine but PTVL doesn't use them or can't find them for the information bar or the extendedinfo section under "now watching". How can I tell PTV to use the metadata that's there and identify the show?
Any ideas how i can solved "Select matching id to USTVnow - \" http://i.imgur.com/phTeSGs.png ?

Are we supposed to re-enter every update? Also is there a way to not hide the text entered when entering the username:password it can be a little difficult to make sure you copy the code correctly when you can't see what you're entering...

It's not required to reenter info after each update... But you said you have a problem... and ATM there are absolutely no known issues; so you have to rule out issues on your end... I'd try reentering info, click okay... try again.

I have also been having issues with pseudotvlive retaining donor status... however for me it is very random.... sometimes it is fine and other times it wont even retain status right after I enter it (even though it says it has been activated successfully)

it also randomly needs to be re-activated when restarting kodi.

it is hard to grab a log with it being so random but I will keep trying to get one.

Edit: Ok now even if I get it to successfully activate, I no longer get any donor exclusive features... I will grab a log when I get some free time.

I seem to be having the exact same issue. It activates successfully but it doesn't seem to "stick" so to speak. I hadn't really noticed until I decided to try and autotune again and refresh my setup. While it is finding channels I get the "Please Activate Donor Features" message. Also in a possibly unrelated note, after autotuning it seems to be hanging for an unusually long time saying "initializing."

If anyone cares, I got my XMLTV issue figured out. The issue?

...I didn't have my XMLTV directory correctly pointed...

I do have a question, Luna. Even though the directory wasn't right, all of the XMLTV files I added to it showed up in the Channel Configurations. I'm curious how XMLTV files are populated for PTVL? Thanks for your patience with my STUPID mistake!

You mean the in-app manager xmltv list?

Thats built using the file names found in the xmltv path and in PTVL's xmltv cache folder where 'ptvlguide' is extracted too.

Just noticed that USTVNow won't upgrade to 10.0.1. I think the file isn't named correctly on Github. The repo points to:

http://raw.github.com/Lunatixz/XBMC_Addo...10.0.1.zip

But the file in the directory (which I opened and contains USTVNow) is named:

http://raw.github.com/Lunatixz/XBMC_Addo...10.0.1.zip

In case people are confused as to what's going on with USTVNow, that's what it is Smile

I was able to change the filename and install thanks to this. But when I put in my paid subscription info, only the free channels populate. Thanks Ryan and thanks Luna!

Edit: Sorry, I didn't see the premium subscription option in the addon settings. Works perfectly! Fixed just before my cranky six year old comes home, Thanks!
