Aeon Madnox for Krypton / Jarvis - (no longer in development)
Small request on the Pause screen (not the info screen) could we get clearart to show, preferably in the area in the provided pic

Kodi Animation thread is certainly an interesting read.
Of Course Animated everywhere with either GIF's or Looped videos ( maybe not preferable ) is going to be Big .. or should I say should be big but its not certainly big on priority list.
I mentioned previously on Shednox thread as well to check out the animated backdrop's and posters as being worked on Aeon MQ6 by Marcos & waniton & co. Here
but we have to be patient ! All good things in their own time !Big Grin

Pause screen goodies like clearart , poster , disc art all works BUT for Local files only. If its a stream of any kind then it doesn't work even with all properly scraped nfo's & local artwork etc etc.
this has been requested and Mike has said he will look at it when ever he can ... hopefully soon Smile

All the files I run are local, it does not load any clearart for the Pause screen as shown in the provided pic. I don't want to use the Info Screen as my pause screen.

thanks man!

hmmm just a quicky : if you have windows !
install git for windows:HERE
i dont have it installed anymore ( i needed a bit more, because i need to be synch with mikes master ^^ ) - but after u installed it u need to go to mikes github page and click on the " CLONE IN DESKTOP" icon ( right side over the download zip icon )
after that git for window ask you where to download it - THIS IS IMPORTANT !!! u need to set the path to your addons folder where u normaly copy your madnox folder ! ( u need to delete your old madnox folder before !!! - or move it elsewhere to be safe )
then git for windows will synch/download the actual state of madnox to that addonfolder inside the skin.aeon.madnox
and it will add a git folder to it Wink

when we have an update now, u just need to start git for windows and it will show you the update - click synch and it will update the new files...

well i think that was it basicly Wink - for just keep synch with an actual git project its good enough - when u have a forked project, its not so good ( in my eyes )

if you have problems, maybe google for a guide for git for windows - because this is the easiest tool out there

good luck

Follow the instructions in the guide I posted. When you get to the Clone to Desktop portion, clone the GitHub folder to your addon folder (the folder where your addons including Madnox are located).

Quote:

4. CLONE THE REPOSITORY TO THE DESKTOP

Once the skin has been forked, click Clone in Desktop to create a copy of the forked repository in GitHub for Windows (choose GitHub). The program will ask you to select a folder for the skin to be copied. It can be convenient to place this folder in Kodi addons so downloaded changes are reflected immediately in the active skin (e.g. C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons). The existing skin folder must first be deleted for the GitHub fork to take its place. Others may prefer to keep the GitHub folder separate from the active skin to avoid overwriting and losing local versions.

Syncing to this folder requires the use of GitShell to pull the changes from the Web. This requires two entries (three if done for the first time).

GitHub guide: 229467 (thread).

Section 5 deals with syncing to the original repository.

Does those GitShell input need to be done everytime there is an update ?
No. Once you have github for windows installed. After you clone, you can just open github for windows and sync from there.

if you go in your video options which the video is playing you can turn this on. make sure to run artwork downloader beforehand. hit enter while a video is playing, hit the settings gears icon and turn on the options you want to show

When an update is available github for the skin is necessary every time before synchronization new update delete the folder madnox existing, I find somewhat questionable to have such synchronization process and can not override the update of existing files, I do not see in this practical, but maybe I'm wrong ...

However, it is fatibile save multiple profiles with GitHub for Windows and clone / sync for Android systems & Unix / Linux?
when we add an update on github ( even a small one ) u just need to synch your "folder" with the master - u dont need to delete anything and it will just UPDATE !! the new file - when we update a 1kb file, you just need to synch this 1kb file and dont need to download the whole package all the time ( it will show you if something is new, and it will notice what files needed to be synched - its just a 2 click operation ! )

thats why you should use some kind of git-tool to keep synch

just read the easy and small faq on git for windows ... Wink

Using Isengard RC2, Windows 8.1

A couple of issues I am having with music, which I can't seem to find the proper settings to correct. While browsing music in the album view, with fake discart set on it displays fake discart fine, if off it displays handwriting cd. All my albums have their own cd art in the folder which is what I want to display, but can find no setting which will display it. If I click an album and go into the song list view it displays my cdart in my album folder which is what I want, but I want it to display in the album view also.
Second issue in music is extrafanart in music does not work. Background customizer set to extra fanart, only displays the individual fanart in the file, not the pictures in the extrafanart folder.
Running this on Windows 10, working and looking great.
Great work
