Release Aeon Nox: SiLVO
(2015-07-30, 11:48)mikesilvo164 Wrote: Are you using Windows? There is a bug that I cannot seem to solve concerning the GitHub zip and the images extracted from that zip file when using the "Install from zip" option in the Kodi addon manger... It says it is from the addon.xml but I do not believe that is the case... and I am not knowledgeable enough in the image creation department to solve this problem.

The recent change in texturepacker causes me to use an older version because why some of the images work but others do not are beyond my comprehension of this issue Sad

Yes, I'm running Windows 8.1 x64. So, from what you said, I take it that my approach to installing the zip file was correct, but that there is currently a problem with doing it that way. Good for me, not so good for you... I have faith that you'll work it out. You seem to have mad skinning skills, so just a matter of time before you figure it out, I'm sure!

Well then, seems the test went well, there at the end. The new code seems to work fine, in Windows 8.1 anyway. I've been testing it over and over, and it works flawlessly every time. Good work!

Yes the description of how you preceded should've worked without a problem but the images that I use in the skin are causing an issue that I have not been able to solve Sad
The timing of all this was what I am most concerned about cause the commands are processed based on seconds elapsed and all of that might be troublesome on lower end hardware. If it works for you then it will hopefully work for all... hopefully Wink

UPDATE: Well, it seems I was wrong about everything working well. I don't know why I did not notice before this, but I just realized that all my screenshots did not turn out well. The OSD elements are gone in the photos, however, the pointer image still shows up in the screenshot. I think I'm so conditioned to seeing the pointer on my screen, that when I viewed the screenshots, I just did not think anything of it. But the arrow is there, in each and every one of them. Hopefully that is something you can tame. Otherwise, the original solution of a timed video frame without any OSD information may be the answer. One can always do the Control + S shortcut to get a screenshot, as long as the screen is clear of information.

Darn It... I did not think to test the mouse pointer... Will fix ASAP Cool I am off to sleepytime tea for now... Any other anomalies you notice should be fixable... If I know about them...

The only information I have regarding the fonts and sizes is contained in a google doc, that you can view or download from:
Here

I think the answer to your question will be in that doc.

Just checking back on this thread, and I'm very happy to see that an excellent compromise and solution has been found to Mort's screenshot request Smile Yet another reason Mike S. is da man! It sounds like once the kinks are ironed out, that will be a very useful feature with the automation.

Mouse pointer should now hide for the screenshot.

And indeed, it does. A thing of beauty, working like a swiss watch. Much appreciated, Mike!

Mike, not to push things here, because you've already done a lot of work to implement an outstanding screenshot feature within your skin, but if you would allow me one more request, then in my opinion SiLVO would be near-perfect.

I don't even know if this is possible, but if it is, would you consider making available the function of a frame forward capability? From the research I've done, the closest I can get to that, currently, is to perform a skip step, and the smallest value I can do a skip step is 1 second. There are times where that value is just too much, and I miss the perfect frame that I'm looking for. If your skin could provide the ability to seek on a frame by frame basis, then getting that optimal screenshot would be a breeze.

I have attempted to customize a keyboard shortcut using Keymap Editor to do this, but I have failed. Maybe you have the skills to pull this off?

Mort

It seems there is a problem with the rating content (apply for france, do not know for others countries). On movie homescreen, all flags are correct including the rating one (-12, 10....).
But on information screen, it is always the same "Not Rated" flag (even if the one on homescreen movie is correct).

Hope you can solve it. If needed, i can provide screenshot Wink

Thanks.

From my researching of this it seems it is not possible ATM. If you had an android device the internal omxplayer is different and can be used to advance frame by frame but all other platforms cannot due to the way the current (non-android) internal player works.
