v21 fTV - Omega
Oddly if I look in the read me its saying it's 0.4.4 lol

script.skinshortcuts was written with the intention of making user customizable shortcuts on the home page easier for skinners.

What's New for Skinners (version 0.4.4 - current Repo release)
-----------------------

- Just Select method - option to show a 'None' option, which will reset all skin labels passed in. See "Advanced Usage.txt", section "Just Select Shortcuts"
- Ability to specify available thumbnails for user to choose from with new button 311. See "Advanced Usage.txt", section "Overrides.xml", part 13 and "Management Dialog.txt"
- Ability to specify conditions for widgets and thumbnails to determine if they are available for selection. See "Advanced Usage.txt", section "Overrides.xml", parts 3 and 4
- Ability to set skin boolean based on inclusion of a shortcut with a specified action. See "Advanced Usage.txt", section "Overrides.xml", part 7
- Advice change - hasSubmenu cannot be relied upon to indicate there are no visible items, there may still be invisible items.

Ah, the addon.xml says it's 0.5.1...so yes, I am using the latest one.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<addon id="script.skinshortcuts" name="Skin Shortcuts" version="0.5.1" provider-name="BigNoid,marcelveldt">

Thanks Hitcher. I downloaded that...pushed it to my /sdcard/ folder and did an install from zip. I then went to the add-ons menu item...system...dependencies and see Skin Shortcuts is version 0.5.1 and enabled.

I then restarted my AFTV and Kodi and same error. Looking at the log and the using ES File Explorer I can see the xmlfunctions.py is loaded in the skin shortcuts folder but I can't see anywhere any /home/jenkins stuff. I'm not sure what loads that, is that my problem?

I know this has issue has been addressed a thousand times.

But after going over other's post on the matter, I still have not been able to get widgets to work on the home screen after
updating to 1.2.4
They were working fine when I was running the older build I believe it was 1.0.4

I started to follow the troubleshooting steps others have posted,
- Delete the widgets, restart and then try again hoping they would appear.
This did not work for me.

Then I went to check the versions of toolbox I had installed, that was up to date, but when looking for skin shortcuts, that was not installed.
So I downloaded from the link Hitcher posted and attempted to install it but received the error message from Kodi stating:
the addon does not have correct structure.

Any help would be appreciated,
Im running Kodi 15.1
Nexus Player

I had that problem when I downloaded from github, got a folder structure and not a zip, so I zipped it up myself and tried installing it. Instead I Right clicked on on the download button and did "save as" and it saved as a zip.

Did you ever resolve your issue? I'm having the same problem. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the skin

I can see errors in the log...which would lead me to believe the install (or perhaps I) haven't installed something correctly...

here are a few of them...

Try uninstalling fTV skin, uninstall Skin Shortcuts, reinstall fTV skin.

Thank you for trying to help,
I already did try this though,
I worked on it for 7 hours so
I gave up on it, and decided to
wait till there's something that
actually works when you install it.
