Tried the Alternative Music Viz layout and seem to lose my ability to play artist slideshow with music visualization Check my settings a few times to see if I missed something but cant find it. Switched to confluence to test and all was fine. Can anyone else verify this.

Thanks again for them UsefulG, had to change a few things to bring them into the skin and there are a few issues. I haven't setup all the folders etc. like you suggest in your thread and as such when AL doesn't find a fanart you get a black screenn? tried looking into a solution but wasn't getting anywhere.

Will go back to them once requests / bugs / improvements come in for those views.

I'm happy to help with the requests/ improvements and bugs. These were my first proper attempts at making views after my hacked together kodiflix view for Mike Silvo's skin.

I'm not sure what to put in place so that if the extrafanart is missing, maybe it could use a fallback image from the skin or something like a big GAME OVER screen.

Here's a screen shot, it is a variation of the MQ5 shelf, when adding other views we apply a Madnox take on them to make the unique to the skin, with this i decide to switch it to the other side and attempt to build the spine info for the case, this view is still WIP but in a stable enough position to be released. We still have work to do if we can achieve what we want it to ultimately look like.

I have not seen the MQ6 version of the shelf 3D view to compare.

That would be correct. I did note that on the now playing screen I only saw fanart, Go to the home screen and visualization was still there. Not sure what project m is. I was using milk drop as viz.
To be a little more accurate , I had toggled Alternative Music Viz layout on look at it noticed the viz gone toggled it off and the results with the viz where still present and would stay that way,

I've had a quick fiddle with a fallback for the GamesFlix views. I have a nice Game Over JPG in my backgrounds but to make it portable I've used the Movie Fallback jpg.

All you need to do is insert this code after the Multifanart control

Hm, I'm using exact the setup I posted
Slideshow in back, and viz I'm forgeound on the alternative music layout on my openelec box and it works fine. Maby someone else can test this. But I will take a look tonight, when I'm home

I saw the Mike had fix the right list view so re downloaded and installed rev 6
Right list view was fine
And no Problem with slideshow and viz working together in alt view. Looks great

Another day another Flix view.

I have put together a MusicFlix view for Madnox/Silvo which uses the artist logos and extrafanart location defined in the Music Visualisation dialog box which means it should be full portable. I used cdArt Manager to pull in most of the logos and extrafanart.



I have also coded fallbacks for the logo and extrafanart in case they are missing. It will use the Artist Name using musicviz font for the logo and the default_music.jpg for the fanart.

No worries, change as you need. I tried to keep the coding as tight as possible so it should just go in, no extra variables or includes.

I saw that someone in the Silvo thread was asking for more views so maybe if Mr Silvo's Son wants to integrate it hopefully it will slip in there too.
