Hi, I recently migrated from Aeon Shednox to this skin. So far I'm loving it except one thing. I use the showcase view for my Movie library and I prefer to use clearlogo for the movie title where it's available. However, there are several movie titles that don't contain a clearlogo so the movie title is blank. Is it possible to fall back to basic text when there isn't a clear logo for a particular movie?

This is how Shednox behaved, display a simple text when clear logo wasn't available.

I had it tied into the Extra info toggle but it will now display a fallback label if Logo is activated. Pushed to Git so test it out and let me know if you or anybody else sees any other bugs

Just one small bug, clear art is not displayed on the in-play screen. Before when I pressed play or pause the clear art would show in the bottom right hand corner. Apart from that everything else is great, thanks.

No info or images are displayed while paused, you need to press info to display them. They also cannot be disabled in the Video OSD Settings to show them on info.

OK thanks. I was using 5.7.2 which could do it, so I just thought it was bug.

There are a number of little differences like that. The reason for this difference is I like a clean pause screen and it also helps with the need to hide onscreen elements for the screenshot button in the player controls

Using latest nightly and gitmaster. All i get is a black screen om my homemenu, anything i can do?
Settings menu show up. Skin works fine on Alpha 3.

FAQ

1) How do I install this skin?

• There are three ways to install the skin, you can install the skins repository and install through the addon manager, download the zip file in the first post then install from zip, or if you want the latest skin, you can download from GitHub (Do not install from the addon manager when using the GitHub version of the skin, manually extract and rename the folder skin.aeon.nox.silvo). Please look at the GitHub README before installing the Git version.
  

2) I have installed the skin, what do I do now?

• The first thing I think you should do when setting up a new install is add your library sources. This is for adding your local media (files and folders you have on a hard drive) to the library.
  
  
• If you do not have any local media and want to use streaming only, there are quite a few legal options for you to use like Hulu or Netflix. If you are talking about illegal streaming addons then this forum is not the place for that discussion. Read the forum rules and the wiki on banned addons. This is a thread for skin support not for addon support. If you have any issues with an addon you should post to the forum or thread for that addon.
  

3) Why are all the menu backgrounds black?

• I made the decision to not include any default backgrounds in the skin. If you want any backgrounds for your menu items you must select them yourself when customizing the main menu.
  

4) How do I keep the Music info onscreen?

• The info button toggles how music information is displayed. When it disappears press info to re-show it and never press it a second time to hide it. If it is hidden then it will display for 10 seconds after a song is played or the next track in your queue begins.
  

5) What do I do next?

• Now the fun begins, customization! If you go to System > Appearance > Settings and select Set up the Aeon Nox main menu. The options are fairly self-explanatory. You can enable/disable any items, customize what happens when you select the item, set up backgrounds, widgets, manage the submenu, and choose a custom label.
  

6) How do I activate ***** setting?

• Colored icons and mediaflags (enable in Skin Settings > SiLVO mod)
  
  
• Plot and cast info, seekbar time format, and a large/small time remaining label can be toggled when pressing info during fullscreen video playback (up toggles the time remaining label, down will cycle through the three options available for the time displayed on the seekbar, select/enter will toggle the plot and cast)
  
  
• Extrafanart is now available when you have script.toolbox installed and after you have run the script to add extrafanart to your DB (enable in the sidemenu > Background button).
  
  
• OpenCase mod is an animation of the front cover opening with rolling discart into the open case (enable in view settings menu for certain views)
  
  
• BoxSet mod is an animation of the front cover opening and displaying a tri-fold movie set with discart (enable in view settings menu for the ShowCase View)
  
  
• Almost all views have additional options in the sidemenu for further customization, too many to list here so play around with the settings for each viewtype.
  

6) What is going on with the Helix version of the skin?

• The Helix version of this skin is no longer being developed or maintained. Please update Kodi and the skin to the latest stable release.

I'm on git version and running Jarvis.

Now everytime whe i reboot i lose my skin settings.

I there a way to backup my skin settings.

I backed up and restored the guisettings.xml in the userdata folder but still loosing skinsettings.

Settings have moved to the userdata (wiki) addon_data skin.aeon.nox.silvo folder

The "normal" skin is running nice, but i want the live-tv mod... can you please help me?

And another thing: is there a widget for the weather? in your skin from repo i couldn´t finde one...

There is a Weather widget that you can select as an options in the Main Menu customizer for all versions of the skin.

I have a RPI, I can not turn off kodi and edit the file. If I delete the line with Putty, at startup, it reappears

1 SSH using putty to the IP Address of your media centre username: root Password openelec
2. Type "systemctl stop kodi.service" - Your media center machine should now go blank
3 Edit the guisetting.xml file using nano for example
4. go back to your putty window and type "systemctl start kodi.service"
