just report my funny situation i had a cpl of minutes ago...

installed the newest nightly - start kodi ... play 4 music albums ! no crash or freeze - navigate in and out of a lot of menus - refresh movies and music ... NO CRASH/FREEZE at all !

close kodi ... crash Wink

- start kodi again ( without windows restart ) and first menu entry freeze Wink

just to show how crazy the problem is ... and it must be skin related ( not windows ) - because other skins work with the same hardware/software Wink

maybe some skin/addon/os combination problem gremin a***ole ...

You both must say hello for Lyrics if you want to make skin for Jarvis.
I think that "Lyrics" cause freezing for this skin.
Try to remove xml
script-XBMC_Lyrics-main.xml
script-cu-lrclyrics-main.xml

And string for load this script....

Try And see resultats Smile

edit:
i have stress tested my local dev kodi HEAVY !!! menu in out, play music, movie, settings ... start, close, start... realy heavy ... NOT ONE FREEZE or CRASH !!!
its a Intel i5 with amd graphic card... and its using local database... realy strange...

when i change local db to sql database - INSTAND FREEZE when i go to series ! --- dont know what the skin have to do with the sql database handling ... will change sql now from 5.6 to 5.7

how can i have a bigger main menu bar?
x 2.5 bigger for example
i know i can have a smaller one by menu but a bigger...
i'm looking for in home.xml but i don't find what i want in any focus i tried

dont know anymore...
install sql 5.7 - start kodi without any sources and clean madnox settings - AS with sql setting = FREEZE ! on first menu entry ... no media source was setup - so its not my collection
configure local db ( disable cmpl. AS ) - dont freeze at first menu entry - but after i complete setup madnox settings...BUMMER
changed also from smb to ftp...

i changed all things i saw here on skin changings for jarvis... but i am now far away over my "coding skills" ( wont call it skill )

maybe mike will find something... i realy hope it... but my next test is maybe with final jarvis...

Much less freezes with the latest nightly but yesterday a freeze while i'm scrolling through the widget at the movie main page. That's weird. No window open or close.
Now i believe it has nothing to do with the open/close window. Maybe to much animation in a row or a background task?

It's much better now. I increased the gui version in info file as suggested and the skin is now usable for me. Yesterday i have had one freeze at the widget at the main menu.

Today one freeze. I have used Kodi for 8 hours. Not really a stress test just normal use. Play, forward, stop and so on. I did a database update and a clean database. I watched the Kodi directory with a file watcher. See the last entries. I guess nothing special

Yesterday Kodi freezed during scrolling through the main menu movie widget. So maybe it's the Skin Helper Service. I will disable all widget and do some more tests.

I have test it already... Its also freezing in other sections without widgets... But big thx 4 ur help buddy

Have just put madnox on an android system and the context menus go transparent, is there any way around this apart from restarting kodi ?

Quick question, is there a way to get the plot info to show under the list view type? I copied the Viewtype_list from Shednox, but that only put the Fanart back. Thank you.

Just add an image thats fit and call it like the genre you need
