Hi, thanks very much for replying. The kodi icon is still on each ATV but, when I click on it, I get only a blank white screen. I don't recall clicking on run in Xcode. (Perhaps I should delete and reinstall on each ATV from scratch?).

If you double tap the tv button on the remote and actually quit Kodi (swipe up when selected) does it still stay white?

By that description it definitely sounds like the app signer worked just fine and sounds more like a Kodi bug of some kind...

But reinstalling would definitely make it work again if it did initially

Thank you sooooo much for your help. I have NOW managed to get Kodi working using another Apple dev ID so it does look like it was a cert issue or something. Regardless you are a STAR!! I really appreciate all your help.

First off, could you send me the ipa file that my program ended up generating so that I can try and figure out what went wrong? The long doesn't seem to give any indication that there should be anything...

And it appears your using a paid developer account?

If that's the case try getting an adhoc provisioning profile for a specific app id (not a wildcard) or (and I know this is inconvenient) try making a free apple developer account and using that

Also, there are newer tvOS builds available than 20151230

Question: Now, with new versions appearing more often, is there any way of moving favorites from earlier versions over to the newer side-loaded Kodi updated application??

As long as you don't delete the existing app and use the same provisioning profile to sign the new version you can just install over the old and the settings will keep so long as there isn't any incompatibility between the versions

Also, you can (in the devices window in Xcode) backup the application container by clicking the gear and selecting backup

Then you can right click on that saved package and click show package contents and then modify and restore the data (don't delete the tmp folder in there though)

You can use that method to modify any aspect of the Kodi userdata or remove a problematic addon without completely resetting the userdata for the app

Hey can you explain how you fixed the issue exactly. I'm having the exact same problem on my Apple TV 4 with Kodi. Was working great, then just a blank screen now.

Sure.

First of all
I removed every cert provisioning file on my mac and in my dev account.
Created a new fee app dev account
created and installed new certs on mac
in xcode used my new dev id and provisioning file
and bingo it worked.

give it a try . hopefully it will work for you too

I deleted the existing app after loading Kodi on ATV4 ;/ - how can I now go back and update tvOS builds? Am I going to have to restart the process like first time but with a new .deb file?

Also - what is the best way to load .zip files on ATV4 Kodi?

I've seen two different methods-
1) Add a source in the file manager and install zip files from that source.
2) Install DBMC Dropbox addon and use Dropbox to import zip files.

Seen it done through DBMC, will try that.

.zip file didn't work through file manager. kept saying add-on does not have correct structure

You can also drop them in a shared folder on your network then choose "install from zip file" and navigate to the shared folder.

I’m trying to install Kodi on an Apple TV4 (tvOS) and have used this good video as a guide:

Although I can get and see the Kodi app on to ATV when I select it launches - I see the Kodi welcome screen for a millisecond and then just a blank white screen - that’s it.

I have the latest iOS App signer and .deb file ( which are great) - I have double and triple checked that I'm using the right profile in iOS app signer and the correct unique bundle identifier- I'm stumped! I can't figure out the issue. So any other ideas would be really really appreciated.

I would completely delete anything with kodi that you have done and start completely over. Try using the guide I have linked in my signature
