Release HDHomeRun PVR native addon
@calculus - while this current revision only does live TV - as soon as SD releases the API for the DVR I would imagine it would get added. Maybe by the original dev and maybe by someone else. Right now there is no API available for the DVR yet so there is nothing to add!

@nuzrerq - yes this add-on only works with the newer DLNA capable devices. That would be CONNECT or EXTEND or Prime.

Having a native PVR client addon for HDHomeRun in Kodi that can save a stream to local disk would make this an awesome combination.

Just imagine all Android boxes that will then be able to act as a full featured DVR with Kodi and HDHomeRun without a external backend.

+1 on this. My dad wants to record two episodes of Local Programming that are otherwise impossible to record using the original HDHR addon without recording like 500 hours of other Local Programming. This would make it all much easier.

I just discovered this a few days back. I found a way to run it under OE Jarvis on my cubox-i4pro and I'm liking it a lot.

Questions:

How can I turn on the TV on boot? I've written autoexec.py for the python based hdhomerun apps by SD and TVJunkie. To do this on pvr.hdhomerun is a mystery at this point.

The channel guide is pretty annoying to my wife. It numbers channels as it scans them from the SD box. Is it possible to customize this to my (her) liking right now?

Note sure which link to use but they seem dead anyway

The guide is available for the next 2 hours. I love the HDHomeRun VIEW addon (this code is kinda based on that one), but I've really missed the native PVR integration.

UPDATE:

Repository and addon moved to Kodi. It is now part of the Kodi PVR releases:

https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.hdhomerun

Obsolete repository:

You can download a very first test version of Kodi 15.2 (Isengard) win32 and linux x86 binaries at:

https://github.com/zcsizmadia/pvr.hdhome...ag/Initial

Windows:
https://github.com/zcsizmadia/pvr.hdhome...-win32.zip

Linux x86:
https://github.com/zcsizmadia/pvr.hdhome...ux-x86.zip

Linux x64:
https://github.com/zcsizmadia/pvr.hdhome...86-x64.zip

Do not forget it is an initial test release, so be patient with it, but feel free to test it and post some feedbacks! Smile

v1.0.3
- Added icon
- Added setting: Mark new show

You can use the latest Milhouse build of OE 7.0:

If you have cubox-i like me then you can use udk's build:

I believe it was moved to the Kodi repository, and included with current Kodi releases?

I don't see it in Kodi at all. I'm using 15.2, compiled Oct 19 2015. Do I need to completely reinstall?

I do see an HDHomeRun addon, which I have installed.. it's definitely an addon and not PVR though.

That's probably the dvb driver for use with tvheadend. Not what you want.

You should probably try a Jarvis beta windows install and it should include the pvr.hdhomerun pvr client.

You have to use at least Jarvis (v16) to have this add-on show up in the repo. For some reason it is not included in the latest stable repo (15.2).
