No it requires a web browser to playback any episode/movie or sport event.
The supported platform is Windows, Mac OS/X and Linux.
You can install google chrome on android tv and viaplay is using html5 for videos. So it should be possible to make it work with android?

I do have a Nvidia Shield Android TV so testing is not an issue.

2) connect to server with addon
3) play, gave me error like to times then it works all the time

Hi!
Any progress on getting it to work or back up?
If you don't have server space maybe we can keep the download alive with a torrent?

I'm currently working on correcting some issues regarding playback, this since Viaplay has made some changes.
Also the addon will be a part of the new repository which will house all my addons (so far it's two of them)...
I estimate to have this fixed in a about a week.

Anything you wanna share to see if we can help solving the remaing issues?
I've tried the OnlineVideos plugin at Mediaportal for a while and it works flawless with viaplay. Maybe we could get some inspiration from that?

Thanks for the links to the Mediaportal plugin, very interesting
A solution like that (dependent on DirectShow filters) would limit the addon to be run on only Windows...
I'm currently having some issues with the playback of the selected episode when directing to the viaplay website...
The webpage for the specific episode has changed and is no longer displaying a start playback button for the specific episode...
This would require running some javascript and using a program to host a webbrower (which would also limit the addon to Windows).
To prove my point, see the following url which is a url that the addon uses to get to the specific epsiode:
http://viaplay.se/serier/the-blacklist/s...avsnitt-17
Any suggestions are welcome

Here's an update on the addon.
I'm currently working on internal playback in Kodi.
But there's still a lot of work to be done
I will post more info shortly.

I currently have internal playback with subtitles working in Kodi for TV and Movie content but I'm not able to test the sport content (this due to my subscription which only allow for TV and Movie content).
This means that I'm in need of test pilots (from all the nordic countries) with Viaplay Sports and Viaplay Total.
If you are interested in testing the new version of the addon then send me a PM.
