19:32:51 T:18446744072316076408 ERROR: CAddonInstallJob[script.extendedinfo]: The dependency on xbmc.python version 2.0.0 could not be satisfied.

Here is my config:
Android TV box Mini Mx with Android 5.1 Kodi Jarvis 16.0 stable. I'm trying to install the latest version (4.6.1) of the script from here directly through install zip addon:
http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/jarvis/scr...endedinfo/ and AEON NOX 5 skin (but it does the same with other skins).
Can you help me please?

You need to post complete debug logs.
Why do you install from zip file? It is available on the repositories...

I try to install from zip because i cant see it on the repo. In the meantime i have understood why, it's because it's hidden because it's seen as incompatible (as stated by the log output).
Here you can see the full log files (complete, as i copied them from kodi directory from SSH).

Thank you for your help, i dont find any solution though i'm a programmer (not kodi programmer).

Hi !

I just installed this skin for Kodi 16.0 Jarvis and got a problem with script extended info: when I press "i" on a movie, i'm getting this error:

extended info / could not find valid content type.

I have the 4.6.1 version of extended script info, downloaded from the official repository.

Any idea ?

Hi Phil,

What is weird is it works when i disable the option in the general skin settings ("use extended info for movies and shows")
Reply
That's not weird at all STAG, if you disable that option then it is using skin specific views and not phils extended info. As phil as asked please provide him with a debug log when that option is enabled so that he can see what is happening to give you the 'content type' error!

Hi there.
Since there is no end-user support I don't know if this is appropriate. If not, please disregard.

I'm using a self-modified versión of ExtendedInfo to simply add some more tools to the manage menu. On some of those tools I want to start a video (for example to view a trailer) so I use self.close() to be able to watch it.
But then, when the video finishes then I'm back in the original position (let's say movies library).

Is there a better way to achieve be able to hide the ExtendedInfo and return to it when playback finishes?

Thanks in advance.

"Trailers", sure. Rofl

You would have to post a link to your mod, there are so many changes in the last weeks that I couldnt point you somewhere without knowing which version I have to deal with.

Anything against trailers?

I had a fork from the github sources from several months ago, but yesterday I was unable to update all commits (Yeah, I'm that thick) from the main branch so I deleted and reforked (from 5.2). I will reaply the changes today.

I also have a modified version from the kodi official repository for Jarvis (4.6.1 I think?). Will try to upload that too today.

I tried to install from repository but i cannot because it's noted as "incompatible" and it does the same with installing from zip package.

I've uploaded a fast copy of some example mods to <DELETED>. I've copied into the Jarvis branch (4.6.2) the changes I have running on my dev. PC (that has up to date Jarvis from kodi add-on repository and says 4.6.1) but I'm guessing it should work.

I guess I'll update the changes also in master (it needs to be done in DialogVideoInfo.py instead of DialogMovieInfo.py and some other variable renaming but's it's basically the same.

Please if any of these is offensive to anybody or forum rules just remove the post and I'll delete the repository.

So the "trailers" you mentioned are delivered by a piracy add-on? That´s what the link tells me. And that´s completely what I expected.

I do see it clearly. Do you? Just one word: couchpotato. I'm not really trying to pick a fight, but... It's ok to facilitate illegal downloads but not illegal streaming?
For me that's a weird line.
But ok. Rules are rules and I have already apologized.

I apologize again. Nothing else here...
