Nevermind. Internet issues!

I have playlists on my menu for easy access. After I watch a playlist, then decide to go over and watch a movie through CV, the playlist shows up from my tv shows. I have to remove the entire playlist from the CV queue, then relaunch the movie to get it recognized.

My CV is working well with a couple of problems, I am sure my issues have come up before but am having a bit of an issue narrowing down my search in this thread.
1. When playing trivia slides I can't get music to play, I have tried, single files, directories, pls files with no audio being played all content is located on an NFS share
2. When my sequence changes and my audio receiver changes audio modes there is a delay in the audio so I miss the first second or so of audio for my bumpers
If someone can point me in the right direction on these two issues that would be great.

One thing I discovered is that if I play my sequence from the sequence editor the music will play during the trivia slides but when the sequence is played when I call it from the context menu it will not play. Not sure what to try next.

I run Kodi on a rpi without the license for mpg2 file. So kodi can't play this file on my system. I think this file was a mp4 file before. Can you choose a more universal format for this file ?
Thx

Is there a way to completely remove You Tube support? Now that the current you tube plugin is broken, I'm constantly getting bad request errors. I honestly could care less about you tube, as I don't use it, so not sure why this plugin is so reliant on it even tho I have disabled its use in Cinemavison's settings.
Thx

Thank you for your work on this add-on I installed yesterday and became a supporting member on your site. WIthin an hour of playing with it I was able to get a pretty good movie theater experience intro that I showed off to the wife today. She loved it, however the kids almost lost interested due to a long pause before the Trivia slides start.
Once the slides start everything goes pretty smooth, but there is a minute or so of black screen after the Trivia Intro video and when the Trivia Slides start.
Any suggestions ?

Hey there! Thanks for that, we're about to start round 2 of development and that really helps. I'm not sure what would be causing that. I've only ever seen it go right into trivia. Are you using it on a projector? Can I get you to upload a log for us to review after running your sequence?

I will play with it some more before posting a log, I am still using the demo sequence I just changed a few of the files that I downloaded from your site.
I will check back after the weekend to give ya an update.
Thank You !

The reason I'm asking is that I have my cinemavision folder on a samba share that all machines can access. Do I have to update the content on each machine (assuming local database) or if one updates will the others pick it up (database kept in the cinemavision folder) ?
Thanks

We'll be writing a CinemaVision Service Add-on that will do content updates automatically on whatever schedule you set (on Kodi start, specific day/time, every X h/m) in the background. That will essentially sync all of your Kodi/CV boxes with your central repository for CV content.

Skinnable button?! The hell you say...
You mean one where you can set the text of said button? I'm not sure if graphics are supported in context menus.

Quote:Well if the delay isn't a video delay from the projector switching refresh rates, and you're using streaming sources for music, I think I know what's up. I get the same behavior using most streaming sources. In researching what's going on using verbose logging, it seems that the delay is caused by the time it takes to validate and connect to the streaming source for music. When using local files, there is no delay at all. Unfortunately, since we don't control the stream, there's not much we can do about it. I looked into hosting CinemaVision internet radio stations when we were coding support, but it was just too expensive and time consuming.
I'd suggest trying local audio files (you can store them in your %CVROOT%\Music directory. I'd also encourage you to customize your preshow, because it's cool. We really only put the demo sequence in so that the add-on would work out of the box and show folks what it could do. I'd recommend using local content if you have the space to do so, because it takes a point of failure out of the equation. We added support for streaming content primarily for users who need to save space, but want the experience (like on a Pi for example). I always recommend housing content on local or network attached storage before streaming
