I can also add an additional option to disable the clearlogo in the netflix home layout but as most people actually want the clearlogo to be shown I'd like to ask you to do the database reset first and see if that's okay with you.

If it was on when you first ran PKC i think you would need to turn it off and then do a reset of the database in PKC.
This is just a guess though and have no idea what flix2kodi does
I spent a few hours tinkering with options and I think I finally have everything adequately setup. Thanks to your feedback I learned I had to clear the cache from both programs and also make sure PKC had the fanart tv option turned off. I did not know what it did at the time, so lesson learned. I had to reset it a few times, but I finally have the library working properly with normal text titles.
In regard to Flix2Kodi, it has an option to use covers and fanart images from TMDb. For some reason, along with giving me better poster and fanart options, it also turned on clear logos. I decided to leave it as is because I kept struggling to get the thumbnail view to populate properly with TMDb off.
Lastly, I had to make sure "Enable Skin Helper Lookups For Addons" was off in General Skin Settings. It also caused clear logos to show up in PKC. I may be mistaken or maybe leaving the TMDb option within the skin helper off was enough (I have no idea at this point), but better safe than sorry.
I'm not sure if finding the solution was worth all this effort, but I'm glad I learned a bit more about how things work within Kodi. Thanks again for your help.
