If is use MMAL and there is a temporary glich (e.g .low signal) video/audio freezes but then resumes normally, but if i use OMX, on resuming audio and video are out of sync.. This has been the case for months so it is not a recent commit..what type of log can help you look in to it?

This is a long standing issue with omxplayer and some live tv add-ons. I really need to be able to reproduce this, but so far no one has been able to provoke this from a recording - which doesn't make a lot of sense - omxplayer has no idea about the source of the video. It suggests the live tv backend does something different with timestamps in the live vs recorded cases.

Ideally find a recording that demonstrates the problem. If not then using mmal or improving TV signal strength is the best option.

@ popcornmix here is a recording.. there is a glitch @ 39 seconds if i play with omx after glitch audio is out of sync.. if i play with mmal after glitch audio and video are in sync

I left frozen RPi overnight and finally got the crash http://sprunge.us/RgSQ
Big Grin
Logitech F710 gamepad no more detected. Since #903
I believe it's something to do with this patch http://nmacleod.com/public/oebuild/patch...k_udev.txt

quick question...

I'm trying to set up VDR backend on my RPi using HDHomerun network tuner.
For some reason VDR does not see my HDHomerun DVB-T tunner... I've installed the HDHomerun driver from the libreelec addons repo and done everything I've done in the past to get this working.

I'm unable to connect the VNSI server and error says "VNSI Client Unreachable"
if I enable the "Dummy device" in the VDR backend plugins config then reboot, i'm able to connect and enter the "client specific settings" but then I cannot "scan channels" it just freezes as it obviously cannot see my HDHomerun.

If I revert back to stable release of Libreelec then VDR works fine

Has anyone else been able to get this working?

Haven't seen any Kodi crashes after a nightly install and re-boot for quiet a while, then suddenly having kodi crashes after installation and first start of Kodi. Pi boots and arrives at Estuary skin, normal loading of channels from pvr occurs, then crash. (only one PVR backend/frontend running on my pi)

Did notice Text during PI intialisation boot (of these nightly install) a mention something failing, but text is to quickly gone from boot screen to catch understand error?

Most likely. Unfortunately that will have to remain reverted until we get to the bottom of the udev issues.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Yes, sorry - slightly diffierent release procedure due to a hardware failure, still working out some of the kinks. Should be updated now, will keep an eye on it tonight.

Debug log (wiki)? See Note #9 in the first post for details.

This will need a PVR person to diagnose - does this happen every time you boot?

Most likely a failure to create the static devices, it fails every now and again but isn't fatal or anything to worry about (but we should fix it eventually).

Hey,

Not sure if this is a bug or something wrong with my setup.
From a couple of builds back, i think it started with 0907, subtitles while watching movies stay on the screen until the next subtitle line comes up.
For example I could be watching a film that has a couple of minutes silent, but will still display the last subtitle on screen all the time, till next line comes up. Before it would go after it had been spoken in the movie.

I've tried with a few movies including ones I know were OK and its the same with every one.
Not sure a log will help with anything, but will post if wanted.

Thanks

Any particular type of subtitle - internal (muxed in mkv) or external? ASS, SRT or other?

All SRT, external.

Forgot I was using estuary mod, which appears to be the problem.
They seem to be working fine with standard skin.
Sorry for wasting your time.
