v17 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0)
The <cache> settings have nothing to do with the texture cache. If the graphics disappearing is a new behaviour then which build did it start with?
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
Starts with Build #917 the effect

Are you sure it starts with #0917? So you're saying #0916 is working normally with no graphics issues, but #0917 is not? What is your hardware (CPU, GPU, motherboard etc.)

NO i'm not sure , I look tomorrow on the others machines, i have some with LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-7.90.006 in the same network. Sorry about that. Then i can test every Build to found the start of the Effect.

Hardware is a Intel NUC5PPYH, 8GB RAM 1600Mhz, SSD,
It appears that builds #930 and upwards have broken hardware acceleration for my Intel "skylake" NUC when using chromium. COuld it be something to do with the new Kernel?

How are you determining if hardware acceleration is working or not?

Well, when I turn on HArdware acceleration, obviously "intel" for my NUC. The home page will take forever to load instead of being instant in previous builds. I get tearing on the screen when scrolling, and tearing playing videos on youtube.

Turning acceleration off on builds below #930 gives me the same "tearing" Turning acceleration on with builds below #930 works as expected "no tearing"

I've just tested build #1010 and Chromium with intel hardware acceleration, and don't see any tearing on a Skylake NUC6i5SYH (I visited the LE home page, scrolled up and down several times, visited news.bbc.co.uk and scrolled various pages and viewed a few videos again without any tearing). Chromium was the only add-on installed in what is otherwise a "clean" kodi installation - can you try testing without any other addons?

Totally broken file, the avi that you are playing. It tells to be 23.976 fps (24 hz <- what you display says) but afterwards we guess the time stamps better: 25 fps -> 50 hz.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
