I used dsplayer isengard with my nvidia gt720 without problems, now I had updated to jarvis, but everytime I start a movie it stutters (also h264), or everything freezes with black screens and glitches. Why?
In another pc, with the same dsplayer version but with an hd7850, everything works as before.

Thanks

One of your settings must be different on one of the PC's: hardware acceleration, DSPlayer filters, fullscreen exclusive mode, etc.

is it constant stuttering or do you get a jump of a frame every once in a while? Trying setting your LAV filters to copyback instread of the NVIDA option - also acceleration off, does it stop?, if not the problems lays elsewhere.

Almost everything, one is a desktop (hd7850), the other is an htpc (gt720), settings are very different, especially because the htpc is less powerful.
With Isengard everything worked correctly.

It's a constant stuttering. Copyback is already setted, and I tried to set acceleration off, but nothing is changed.

Stuttering:

When a movie doesn't start at all

Filters and misc

LAV Splitter settings

LAV Video settings

LAV Audio settings 1

LAV Audio settings 2

Acceleration settings (as I told, I already tried to set it off)

Edit: with the same LAV settings the desktop works perfectly. I just tried it.

Edit 2: I also tried to
  1. set Enhanced Video Renderer instead of madVR
  2. update madVR to the latest version
  3. update gpu drivers to the latest version
  4. disable ReClock
  5. disable exclusive mode from madvr (it was already disabled from Kodi)
  6. change the skin

If you need to see my madVR settings let me know.

This problem happens with 3d movies and nvidia graphic card.
Disabling in madvr use dx11 for presentation all ok
With Amd graphic card all ok

Does MPC-HC work? What about DVDPlayer? Is it only DSPlayer?

MPC-HC works and if I disable DSPlayer as default player on Kodi, it works.
Besides, if I set kodi (with DSplayer) on "window mode" instead of "fullscreen window" (or classic fullscreen) it works.

This was the responsable!

If I set the adjustment off, everything works. Is it normal? I had no problems with isengard...

Did you set madVR to do refresh rate switching? You shouldn't have both Kodi and madVR enabled at the same time.

Try madVR's display modes.

Ok, good to know you have it figured out.

why are you forcing everything to play at 720p?

Hi,

When playing 720p and 1080p videos there is no dropped, delayed frames. But when i try to play a 4k movie (10bit HEVC x265). I have like 500 dropped frames in 30 secs and cpu usage is 100% on all cores. Ive tried with different settings but without succses. So what settings should i use for 4k movies?

My current settings for 1080p and 720p videos:

Chroma upscaling: nnedi3 (32neurons) anti-ringing filter ON
Image upscaling: DXVA2
Image downscaling: DXVA2
Double luma: NNEDI3 (32 neurons)
Smooth motion: OFF
Dithering: Error diffusion option 2

My PC:

Motherboard: M5a97 le r2.0
CPU: AMD FX 6200 clocked @4.42Ghz
GPU: GTX 970 4GB
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz

TV: Samsung 65" UE65JS8500

you cant play HEVC videos with this version of dsplayer with madvr, it will only work with the standard renderer, madvr dont play nice with 4k HEVC stuff yet.

4K videos only require chroma upscaling.

Are you sure your CPU is powerful enough to decode the video? 4K HEVC needs a very fast CPU. And yes DSPlayer can play these videos. The GTX 970 won't hardware decode, though, so software is being used.

Change chroma upscaling to super-xbr or Jinc.
