Why is it that your 5.0 settings look upside down?

The two on the top are the height channels. He has a 5.1.2 system. From the looks I think he has this system

Forgot to mention, I ran into one BD rip that the external/native player refused to play for whatever reason (maybe as it's 1080i), but ZDMC did...

Remove the parenthesis from the folder and file name and see whether it plays. I know that it doesn't like "%".

2) Hi-Res Audio: 44.1/88.2/176.4/96/192kHz are 24-bit output even for multichannel PCM from the default "Music Player". ZDMC and native "Video Player" are limited to 16-bit 48kHz.

HDMI Analyzer - Channel Status Bits. It will show what the max word length of the signal and the sample word length. This is how the sink determines the bit depth.

It is a 5.1.2 system with front heights and not ceiling speakers, My wife did not want anything on the ceiling.



Performance is not as good as with ceiling speakers but with the BDMV dolby atmos 2014 and others Dolby Atmos Demo as well, the front heights become quite impressive. We can actually ear the birds fly over our heads and go around the room, the receiver Onkyo 656 did a good job.

skins, your weird font/text issue should be resolved by choosing 'Default' for font instead of 'Arial' in ZDMC settings.

Hey guys

Got my Zidoo X9s today and followed the setting suggestions of this post.
Sound works perfect and the PQ is awesome (on my tv feels better than the himedia q10pro)

BUT the entire screen goes black like every 60seconds or so, then comes back on after 1-3 seconds

anyone else had this problem and might know whats wrong ?

Put deep colour to off and it should solve your problems.

Hello, I can not write to the USB hard drives that I have connected. Any idea why it can be?

I have firmware 1.2.6.

When using artwork download gives an error for failure to record in the USB.

Same type of error using solid Explorer.

Can anyone help with this?

The internal browser allows me to write content to USB, but Solid Explorer or Kodi can not (do not have permissions).

I need root??

No one else with this problem?

This did not work for me.

ZDMC and Solid Explorer have storage permissions, but neither can write to USB HDDs.

It seems they only have read permissions. No write permissions.

¿Another solution?

I have a Panasonic VT50 plasma that cost thousands of pounds and the wireless doesn't work with a USB3 hard drive connected, so it isn't just cheap Chinese boxes.

Panasonic plasmas had huge flaws (remember the Buzzing) but that dont stop them to built the best TV and create a tremendous reputation.

The Tegra X1 and the Shield wasn't created in couple weeks like the chinese manufacturer do, building a aluminium box around the latest Chipset available...have a look at the Nvidia shield teardown from mlab and have a look at x9s teardown its obvious who´s doing the planning and the development of the product.

If you have a Micro stuttering in Zidoo device X9S its up to the manufacturer open a ticket and request to the chip manufacturer to fix it (in this case its realtek) and most of the time the problem is Fix with other SDK, and Zidoo must start coding again most of the features already implemented, and this process can take months & months of wait.


In the SATV case the bugs process can be faster because they are the chip manufacturer.

Apparantly i cant use Deep color cause then i loose picture like once every 60secs.
