Our engineers told me,The f/w occasional losted v-sync signal when playing MVC files.We solved it.

In the meantime I am more than a little bit disappointed with the ZDMC. Passtrough in RAW format isn't working and in IEC format no HD Audio ? The TV picture freezes after some seconds/minutes( DVBviewer plug-in) and the external Player out of ZDMC isn't working for some unknown reason. Last but not least - Kodi 16 sucks (when you are already used to use Kodi17).

However, 4k, 3D picture quality (ISO) and also HDR (samples files) are looking pretty nice. I think I still have to play with the setting to get also HD Audio with the Zidoo Media Center, don't I ? So when the Audio would work, this would be at least a nice media player (for 3D Iso and HDR) - but by no means a full replacement of a "normal" working Kodi setup. To compete with a RPi Kodi setup there is still a long, long way to go...

Has anybody else had these problem with the X8?

Actually I have also seen that behavior with my MacPro under MacOs Sierra (10.12) and using the Zidoo X9S with firmware 1.2.6 . If I use a windows virtual machine from my MacPro with SMB, all the files play fine. However my MacPro can only connect natively with the X9S with a clean installed barebones MacOs Sierra boot disk without any other programs added on. With that configuration Kodi and ZDMC will connect anonymously with my MacPro. While Kodi Krypton (v17.0-beta5) plays the movie fine, the ZidooPlayer in ZDMC (external player) just starts and stops immediately. I have a feeling that the SMB (and probably NFS) protocol they are using is outdated and inefficient. NFS plays but with significant buffering issues.

Maybe firmware 1.2.7 will fix this?

Hi, i have an x8 model, my question is not as technical as the other ones ive been reading, but here it is:

When i watch a video and want to exit it while it is playing, the zidoo remote stop the video while the ios official kodi remote will keep the video playing, is there a modification i can do to the remote?

Ps. When i play music the zidoo remote do keep the music playing when i press return. !?

Assuming you have 'external player' option enabled in ZDMC, the video is being played back by that external player and not ZDMC/Kodi. So, makes sense iOS Kodi 'stop' wouldn't work. Maybe you can teach iOS Kodi's 'stop' to Zidoo's 'stop'? Not sure how, but Zidoo has a true 'stop' function that you can map this way...

I dont have external player enable. I dont want the video to stop , i want it to continue to play like the ios remote do, but the zidoo remote make it stop when i hit the back button.

Not sure but when you change SIMPLE MENU to SHOW BLU-RAY some BD-MENU works, i need to look into BDINFO to find out what kind of BD-MENU works.

Tested a few HDR with BT2020 and the X8 does send the HDR signal to the TV, the TV will go Blank and then start playing.

It can, but I think it is some sort of bug in the firmware because I can't replicate it consistently. There is also another bug in the firmware. It seems to sending extended colorimetry information in the AVI InfoFrame all the time. I see xvYCC information in the InfoFrame even with regular Rec.709 content.
