I updated to the 3.6.97 beta yesterday to see what's new - was previously on an older beta, from before the major skinhelper re-write.

I am now experiencing the same intermittent issues in media views that a few others have reported where sometimes the background fanart and/or thumbnails from a different show gets displayed. As the problem is intermittent I haven't yet been able to capture it happening with a debug log, but will post one as soon as I can.

However, I have a much more obvious issue since going to this beta release:

I have a library where all artwork (posters, banners, fanart, extra fanart, actors etc.) is local - it is all pre-scraped (using Media Companion) and I'm using the "Local info only" scraping option. With the new beta and associated scripts, when I go into TV Shows or Movies, which I have in Big List 2 with thumbnails, it initially displays as it always did, i.e. the thumbnail is the fanart as selected in the show's "choose art" dialog - which in my case is always going to be a local fanart.jpg file anyway. Then after a few seconds or sometimes tens of seconds, while a show is selected in the media view, the thumbnail sometimes changes to a completely different fanart image, but not my local fanart.jpg and often not even any of the images in the show's extrafanart folder. Looking at the log files, it is being scraped from fanart.tv or thetvdb.com.

After the "wrong" thumbnail is cached, scrolling away and then back to that show causes the thumbnail to briefly flick to the "correct" thumbnail (i.e. the one selected in the "choose art" dialog) to this randomly-downloaded thumbnail. I have tried disabling the extra fanart option in the media views settings and then deleting simplecache and textures database and thumbnails folder (just to make sure nothing is cached), but after restarting, the same random behaviour occurs.

I am using vertical layout with widgets but if I move across to the widgets I can not get out of them as I just keep looping around the widget. Please could it be added when going left to the start of the widget you can then move back into the menu options.

The weather widget is not working in 3.6.97. I can select the widget but it shows nothing.

Working perfectly fine on my setup. Maybe try another weather provider ?

First off - a great Kodi skin that I really like. Now with my issue - last week I had to reinstall Kodi and all the stuff related to it.
I have my movie collection divided in 2 categories: 'Movies' and 'Kids'. I put both on the home screen and as I like the backgrounds
to change automatically I use the smart shortcut options. Everything used to work just fine until I reinstalled.
After the reinstall I could see only my 'Kids' smart shortcut, but not the 'Movies' one. So i thought I may have messed something when creating my smart playlists.
I deleted all the smart playlists and created them from scratch. Now I can see only my 'Movies' smart shortcut, but not my 'Kids' smart shortcut.

1) Are you on beta version of the skin or the stable one ?
2) Can you please take l a look in your kodi logfile if there are any errors reported. Good chance it's reporting an error that you have one or more corrupted playlist files it couldn't parse.

I reproduced this issue today and looks like I fixed it. One of the scrapers of skinhelper was accidentally pulling in a fanart image and the skin was using that image instead of the correct one.
Should be fixed in next beta update of the skin.

I reproduced this issue today and looks like I fixed it. One of the scrapers of skinhelper was accidentally pulling in a fanart image and the skin was using that image instead of the correct one.

Still having this issue. How do yo get the RSS feed to show up?!!

Do any one else see this same thing? Does anyone know of a work around to get the RSS Feed to show up?

Hello, I just starting using your skin. I like it quite a bit. But something very strange happened when Tried to change the color scheme. The Rss feed has disappeared. Now no matter what menu or color setting i choose, the rss feed doesn't show up anywhere. If I switch back to the default skin, the feed is there. It just isn't showing up in titan. Any ideas?

1. I am using 3.6.78 - stable version installed from the Kodi repo
2. I do not see any errors. There are only a few warnings, but none of those seems to be related to the issue

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Titan skin -> loaded the settings I have backed up beforehand. Everything is the same.

P.S. I just noticed one more strange thing. The 'Recently added albums' widget for the music section stays over the main menu items hiding them (horizontal home layout).
The widget layout is set to 'None - using the global setting' and the global setting is 'Posters'. However, there is a workaround for that - setting the widget layout to 'Posters' seems to fix the issue - I get the same widget layout but it is above the home menu items.

Problem is unchanged with 3.6.98 and SH 1.0.131, but not sure if these versions should fix the issue as per your previous post but wanted to let you know just in case. (n.b. deleted the thumbnail and simplecache databases and it is still scraping from thetvdb). I notice also that at the same time the thumbnail changes, the footer displays an item for "continuing (on <date>)" (or "ended" for older shows) - I do not have the tv show next aired add-on, so assume this is also a new function of your scripts?

Previously this wasn't like that, this setting didn't affect on the resume from pause.
I always set there 3 sec and the OSD wasn't show up when resume from pause.
Can you separate it as it was before?

TV-Shows Library is ok now, it shows the fanarts, and all of them are correct.
Movies Library - The problem still exist, it shows fanarts that aren't set by me (As it show in choose art section)

But when I stand on an item in widget 1 is still shows the background from widget 2 instead of 1 (As it was before) >>>
Also the background of the widget shows black screen from the widget unless I play with it a little, forward backward.

I was testing out the (banner view) for the [recently added episodes] widget and I noticed it's not pulling in the banner from Emby, it's pulling in the first backdrop and displaying it as the banner.

Please check if it's fixed in the next beta update

The banners are being displayed correctly, thank you. However, the information overlay is not displayed with [banner view]. I'm not sure if this is expected or not.

Ok I have been playing around this. I deleted the Rssfeeds.xml file on one machine and that did the trick. But on my other ones (linux) doesn't seem to work. But I have noticed that when I do delete it, the kodi feeds show up, so it much be something with my feed. Can you check it out for me?
