I've migrated from openelec to libreelec and once he came up the skin was messed. Decided to reinstall but the repo is empty. I tried superepo but that isn't working either. Is there no longer any supported repo for Silvo?

Yes, I did do the repo zip. Once installed, the repo skin content is empty. I then dl'd the Jarvis zip and installed it that way but it still isn't working. There are errors regarding xbmc.gui or something. The message disappears before it shows the full message. The log didn't tell much at all.

Update tested the Silvo skin on LibreElec beta 10 Raspberry pi, Intel HTPC and Amlogic players... kodi will freeze on the intro movie

1) I highlighted the movie collection, opened Context menu, select Manage, Choose Art, Fanart, and then browsed to the gif file. The background shows up, but it is not animated. Same is true for animated posters.

I enabled: Skin Settings > Silvo Mod > Enable backgrounds for movie sets

I assume that live backgrounds support gifs since mp4's don't show up in browse, and that the file name doesn't matter?

2) Unlike other menu items, a music video library must exist for the common Music Video menu item to exist. Wondering if this is by design, or if I found a bug?

I had added multiple new main menu items without existing libraries without any issues. However, when I add the common Music Video item it doesn't show up on the main menu. I can add other new menus without any problem. I had removed it, re-added it, renamed it and rebooted the PC, but no luck. I assume that the log file would show it being added, but there is no mentioned at all for Music Video other than a playlist.

3) When I'm on the Weather menu I can't get the Yahoo weather to show up unless I Up Arrow or go into the Weather menu.

4) "Weather Icons - Animated" do not show up. When I attempt to update the "Weather Icons - Animated", the update fails. I'm getting a lot of errors:

ERROR: CImageLoader:oWork - Direct texture file loading failed for resource://resource.images.weathericons.animated/47.png

When I go to the above folder there are no image files. I uninstalled and reinstalled the addon, but problem.

I'm also getting:
ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting

Enable Live Backgrounds for movie sets has nothing to do with Gifs. I suggest you turn it off if you want to use an animated background. Posters I can't help you with that either all Kodi or because of some coding to get the BoxSet or OpenCase mods working... I honestly cannot remember what I did to make all that work.

Go to videos > files > add source and set it up as Music videos then the item will appear on the main menu.

Did you hide the widgets until focused? Animated icons only work on 1 skin IIRC and this is not the one

Ok, after a bit more searching/reading, I've installed the universal movie scraper and set it up for UK certs but kodi still uses the tmdb scraper that was installed with the skin.
Is there a way to disable/uninstall the tmdb scraper and use the universal one, the options to remove/disable are greyed out. ?
Also, do I need to delete my existing library and re scrape or will the ratings/certs be over written....or am I moving in the wrong direction and there's another way ?

If you did not select it before adding then you must change it in the source and refresh to commit the changes otherwise you need to do it 1 library item at a time.

If you installed the Jarvis version and it says that error then you are installing the wrong version for your Kodi install. Just use my repo and delete shit like superrepo then when my repo is installed click check for updates in the side menu of the addon browser.

Can you please try replacing the intro.mp4 file in the skins extras folder with this one and see if it doesn't freeze. I tried to ask about it freezing on LibreElec and got nowhere so you can try asking around for yourself but the only I can do is re-encode the file and see if that fixes it.

PLEASE HELP!! I can no longer get the live tv widgets to work on kodi 17. They seem to have stopped working since beta 2 version. Any ideas as to why would be great

Just update to the latest kodi 18 build and now i have no menu on the home screen. The home meni bar is blank. Is their a fix to this or do I have to switch to another skin

I observed the same issue. Kodi freezes after the intro. This problem affects LE8 alpha 9 and 10. I suspect an issue in Kodi, because freeze sometimes also happens when opening a netradio station with these LE builds.

hi mike i know i have mentioned it before just wanted to know if you planned to add the artist logos to the music showcase view as an option, as its the only thing that keeps the skin being pretty much complete for me as i have this mode set for my movies and tv shows which looks fantastic but when i go into my music this view isnt there so it feels inconsistent to the rest of my library, have to say the skin is brilliant and even if you werent to add the feature i would still use it i just thought id make a small request thanks for a great skin
