v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
Looks like the addon is legal - that makes it awesome! However I still would prefer local starting of roms, E.g. When using the rpi offline @ a friend!

Given the archive's special, legal position in terms of gaming, we've decided to take the stance that so long as the archive makes content freely available in a way that appears to be perfectly legal, then there doesn't seem to be any reason to prevent accessing that content using Kodi. And if, at some point, the Archive loses the right to make freely available this content, then they, themselves, should likely remove the ability to access the content, as they work very hard to stay on the right side of the law.
Installed #0129 and got a crash the first time I tried to start LiveTV(pvr.mythtv). Don't know if it could be useful.

After Kodi restarted, it worked without crash.

I also had a crash. The first one in many months. After it restarted itself it has not crashed again. I will post a log file if it does it again.

I guess build 0129 does not address the CEC (loss of connectivity on TV shut-off issue). I copied over the Revert13 files which may have had something to do with the reboot / crash.

Does build 0130 address the CEC issue? If not, I will stick with build 0129 with Revert13 for now.

If anyone could provide clear instructions (maybe in a dedicated thread so we can discuss it further without disrupting milhouse builds?) that would be great.

The IARL add-on requires either retroarch (recommended) or retroplayer. Is one of the two included in the milhouse builds (I think retroplayer is the new kodi core player...) ?

I've only tested IARL - it worked for me, for a limited number of emulators I tested.

If it's crashing Kodi, provide a crashlog.

If you want the game menu, try the Konami code - up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, a, b. Works best with a keyboard. Although once you have the Games menu available, I think it's lacking some functionality so may not be very useful.

If games (emulators etc.) aren't working, then you'll need support from the developer, @garbear. If that support isn't forthcoming then maybe I'll just drop the support entirely as not ready for testing.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Is there a #0130 build yet?
#0129 should be the latest.

Can you confirm the build with the problem and whether reverting to previous night's build fixes it?
0129 fucked up CEC again.

The error counter increased very fast, setting deinterlace mode to bob mmal seemed to improve the situation. So you were right I think. Anything that can be done here?

Advanced HD deinterlace just produce enough sdram traffic that is can make USB fiq run slower and potentially miss a packet.
There is a setting you can tweak in config.txt. See here for description.
Code:
v3d_limiter=0x880f1

Increasing the first digit may help. Can you try v3d_limiter=0xa80f1
After some testing that didn't help unfortunately.

Sorry, I will provide in the future
Since the whole emulator didn't work I thought it was an issue with the emulator itself.

About the Konami code: where should I try to enter it? It always gets me the TV addon (pvr), but nothing about a game option [emoji6]

If you can't report issues without using offensive language or even explaining what the issue is, then don't use these test builds.

Sorry, I mis-remembered the code - it's up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A (not A, B).

Enter it anywhere - the home menu is fine, or the Settings page (there should be a new "Games" Home menu and also Settings page, once it is activated).

Use a keyboard.

Can you report the numbers you tried? Any small differences in behaviour?

And #0x0128 was okay? I don't see much that has changed in #0129 to explain this. @Milhouse any guesses?
