I have one question though, i remember a long time ago that you could choose multi background pictures to have in the main menu that cycles through that folder you have all your pictures in... Is it still possible to do that with krypton 17? I can only choose a singe picture to use as a background ![Sad Sad](https://forum.kodi.tv/images/smilies/frown.png)
Sorry for the late response, I just noticed your post.
The option is still there, I use it myself. Go to Skin Settings/Customise home menu, and you will have a Background button for each of your menus. You can then select some of the predefined options, but also Single Image and Multi Image.

No change, mouse still worked to open widget, keyboard, No.
I am also on a completely different PC with a wired USB keyboard, and wireless mouse. Still same behavior.
*** OK, i figured out the cause of the issue! If the option"Allow widget reloading" is enabled, the Enter button does not work, If i UNcheck "Allow widget reloading, the Enter button is functional again. I toggled this on and off a few times to test, and everytime it is checked the issue is present. Hope this helps track down the issue, thanks!
I also reinstalled my complete setup, and turned off widget reloading and it fixed the problem. Actually now the widgets show instantly and seems much faster because they are not reloading everytime. Is there any downside for having this option disabled??
*WOW, sooooo much faster now! Everything seems perfect.
The fact that that option might make things iffy hadn't even occurred to me. Basically, persistent widgets were first instituted in Eminence 2.0 as an overall improvement in widget speeds, and ever since it was placed there, things have been pretty great. The widgets originally reloaded from the skin shortcuts template every time, that's why they are so slow. It's faster in Eminence 2.0, due to the fact that there are less complex options for the widgets. The only advantage to this was that in some very rare cases and very old hardware, this method had better overall speeds. However, some folks had problems with the persistent widgets not loading after anything was played, so it was made an option.
Incidentally, that also might explain why they are bugged out, since all they do is get applied to the interface with no particular settings. This has probably been true since Krypton... although templates are the same in both skins, so I'm not sure what I can do. I've noticed that even when reloading, the widgets function in all library and extendedinfo based widgets, so it's just the universal widgets that are a problem, since the path to, say a video add-on doesn't always register properly.
I'll look into it some more, but generally, persistent widgets are the better option for the greatest number of users.
