Mod Estuary MOD - KODI 17 (DISCONTINUED)
Hey! The global search feature seems to not be working for me. No matter what I search it shows me "no results" and I get stuck on that page and can't back out. The behaviour happens using both the search bar and when launching the global search add-on directly. This problem only seems to happen in this skin, when I switch to a different skin, thew global search works as intended. I'm running Kodi 17.3 on Windows 10. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hey everyone... The skin recently stopped showing rating in the little boxes that pop up below the movie description (lower right hand corner). There isn't even rating info in the info screen for most movies. It used to be that every movie showed a rating. Any idea?

I'm having the same issue. The most recent Estuary Mod (1.7.14) and Kodi 17.3 on a Wiindows 10 PC i5 CPU.

I have ratings on older movies. Any movies added to my library after install of Estuary Mod seems to not be showing the rating in neither the bottom right, nor within the info page.

I have another system in the house behaving the same way. I switched skins back to Estuary, and the IMDb rating is there in the info page.

I have couchpotato do all my .nfo files, and I have double-checked them to see if the rating is in there (it is), I scan only locally, but I have also tried scanning via TMDb and IMDb to no avail.

I have been searching forums trying to find someone with the same issue, and erichter was the first one I found. (There might be others, it is a very descriptive issue, making it hard to search for without getting all the issues related to scraping.)

I have also tried remove database file, rebuilding database, but even if that solved it, I can't accept that as a solution as it would seem a bit silly to rebuild database every time I add a movie Tongue

So if there are any other ideas out there, I'd be indebted.
Thanks for the awesome skin Big Grin

Same here, except for on a few movies that might have already have both Rotten Tomatoes and Flixter cached from before. But at least on all my newly added movies only Metacritic shows up.

Me too

Does not come from the skin!

Rotten Tomatoes data are not available anymore through skin helper

Should come back as soon as OMDB have Rotten Tomatoes data available again

So, that answers why Rotten Tomatoes scores have vanished, but not why my IMDb scores have vanished. And since they show up on the 3 alternate skins I tried, (just to verify), I would say the issue lies somewhere within the skin.

I just tried uninstall/reinstall of the skin and now none of the movies show an IMDb rating.

Could be an issue with the addon used to fetch these ratings from internet...
I do not know how the skin works for that...

I know for exemple that skin helper had some changes recently where you now need own API keys for fanart.tv, tmdb and omdb if you do not want to suffer from huge database request limitation

So the skin may need some changes to adapt to addons changes but it could be hard seeing this skin is discontinued, or the other skins you tried fetch info through another way...
Moanbag is in da place!

Same problem here, no IMDB rating. The problem related on the link above is about Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic ratings (they don´t.show up anymore). But recently (some days ago) the IMDB rating algo disappeared. Unfortunately, it seems that this great mod was abandoned, even before the release of a beta version of Kodi 18.

It would be great if OP would amend the original post with this information. I just kissed away a good part of my day yesterday installing and configuring this skin, then trying to resolve the rating issue myself - to find that the skin is now redundant - no longer working - and the time is wasted.

No disrespect to OP - whos work made the skin possible - but as a matter of courtesy to the community - please update the main thread to advise this mod does not work any more.

IMDB, TMDB and TVDB rating need now personal API key to operate again. This key must be set in Metadata and Artwork module settings from Skin Helper Service.

Rotten Tomatoes was removed from Skin Helper Service.

Not a skin issue. It's a decision of Marcelveldt, not mine.

I do understand, but this information should be stickied at the top of the thread. People are coming here to use a skin that says that it supports these features, and - through no fault of yours - right now it cannot. Please save people the time of setting it up by advising them at the outset that the screenshots and features list is currently inaccurate. Surely this is a matter of simple courtesy toward your userbase.

On another related matter - is it possible for individuals who want to use these features to purchase an API to do so? Or purchase a scraping service from a third party who owns an API and leases its capability to the Community? Seems there are a lot of people wanting accurate, comprehensive scraping. Surely there is a market for this if its affordable for them and readily available.

Thank you for the info, I didn't know that. Then I agree with 0ldfart , this information should be in the first post.

But I still have not given up on this mod. Instead of the "live" IMDB rating, maybe it's posible to make de label show the IMDB rating retrieved when scrapping a movie.

Quick hack to replace IMDb 250 item with local scraped rating, modify ~/.kodi/addons/skin.estuary.mod/1080i/Includes.xml file.

Comment out IMDb 250 part:
Code:
<!--
            <control type="group">
