Thanks

32-bit.

This is not 100% guaranteed, because the Kodi setup routine installs the new version always in the same directory as the old, already installed one to replace it - regardless of the architecture. So if you installed a newer 64 bit Version over 32 bit, intentionally or not, it was copied into the "Program Files (x86)" directory and visa versa. To be sure which architecture you have, look at the beginning of %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\kodi.log or at the Taskmanager (Details, column "platform" enabled) while kodi is runnning.

May i run Ds Player Krypton 17.3 with Kodi Krypton 17.0?

I want to thank Aracnoz infinitely for the EVR patch.

It works like a charm without the pixelshaders.
If I activate the pixelshaders I have errors.

I've just discovered Kodi DSplayer, it's so great. Many thanks!

However I have only one problem to make it perfect : I'm unable to use it with ftp/sftp, unlike the vanilla Kodi player.
I'm getting the exact same errors :

Is there a fix for this?

Is there a possibility for this to be fixed in the future ?
Ofc if a fix already exists, please let me know Smile

Thanks again

After using Kodi Dsplayer x86 16.3 for a long time I upgraded to Kodi Dsplayer x86 17.3 today, using exact same settings. Average frame rendering times are higher now then before resulting in dropouts in video playback. I checked and all madvr settings (0.91.10) are still the same as before.

Is this a known issue?

Can you guys help me troubleshoot and solve this?

Thanks a lot!

Are you using "Load from madVR active profile"?

Yes! I am. I once tried the other option but I did not give me the amount of control I liked to configure madvr , or at least not as easy. Do you suggest this might be the cause of the increased average frame render time?

No, rendering times should be the same.

So I'm having issues setting up Kodi DSPlayer after some tinkering. I have NFS shares set up, and they play fine when playing with VideoPlayer, but when playing with DSPlayer, nothing happens, I just stay in the library with the movie/episode selected.
I have SVP installed which I use with MPC-HC, it works perfectly and is the reason I want to run DSPlayer to get interpolation in Kodi. This has also worked perfectly for years now, but something has happened with my installation and I have to set it up again.

What I've tried is:
  • Switching between EVR and madVR, neither will play any videos.
  • Uninstalled 32-bit DSPlayer (Krypton 17.0)
  • Installed 32-bit DSPlayer (Krypton 20170525), will not play videos
  • Installed 64-bit DSPlayer (Krypton 20170525), will not play videos
  • Added FFDShow Raw as an external filter, still will not play videos

For each installation I've added advancedsettings.xml and sources.xml to point to my server which has my library, it's always found without issue.
What am I missing? Shouldn't this work "out of the box" or do I need to set something up, aren't the internal filters pre-configured to handle many formats?
I think I've had this issue before, but looking back in the thread I couldn't find what solved it...

Here is a pastebin of my log after trying to start a movie, and then shutting Kodi down. https://pastebin.com/mkx02L2T

You have to use SMB shares.

I was starting to suspect something like that because the nfs shares are extremely slow on windows, they work superbly on my Arch Linux installation. But why are samba shares required over nfs which I assume can be tuned to be faster?

I'm trying to share settings between Linux and Windows, is this feasible? Also, can I have the windows machines link samba shares and Linux point to nfs shares if they point to the same folders, ie movies or something, or will the database interpret the sources as different and scrape duplicates of everything - one samba path and one nfs path file?

I don't know. You'd have to experiment.

No one else can comment on this? I'm still using 16.1 and I'm curious, too, if this is a problem with 17.3? Are frame rendering times increased?
