A shortcut is always just a single item. Custom groupings are not implemented. But it's good to hear that it's working with the favourites method.

Is there a chance to add a viewtype to TV recordings that is similar to tv show season view (the one where you scroll horizontally though the thumbnails and the rest of the episode information changes accordingly). The available view types only show the thumbnail a name (except in the list view, where imho the thumbnail are a little too tiny).
Sometimes you need a little more information (like channel, runtime, series title), e.g when you have a lot of recorded episodes and the thumbs arn't always helpful ;-)

I like the idea of the side panel, but far too often I find myself navigating a bit too far to the left and bam, there it is, when I never meant for it to pop up
I would prefer an option in the skin settings which let's you toggle it off or on.
