Dont scan for artwork. Save files into local folder. From info dialog for selected movie navigate to choose art, select poster and browse to local folder and select gif file.
Thats all I do and it works in every skin.
Before I read through 60+ more can someone tell me if the quoted issue has been resolved?
Because I'm trying some of these by sending them over to my NAS since all of my art and metadata are stored locally.
What I really don't understand is although when I selected the gif file from my NAS and it didn't work I was still getting Animated posters... even on movies I didn't ask for them. So it was obviously downloading them.
So with all of my metadata being stored locally why was Kodi downloading artwork?

Does this work on tv shows? I have manually added animated posted for tv shows with no joy. Is it me of kodi or the mq7 skin?
