Hello everyone. And a big thank you for this work.
I need to lose everything, I will lose all my hair if I do not understand.
Do you have a kodi link where the configuration is all in one (pack install kodi + Dsplayer)
Do I have to install Madvr and other filters in parallel?
I am really lost to understand. Thank you for your help

I recommend all 4K AMD users use the players own refresh rate switching at the moment as I personally believe there is a bug with MADVR.

I now have a fully stable system when I turned off refresh rate switching in MADVR. Prior to that I had HDMI drops, black screens, PC crashes, small screen in corner when playing 4k stuff... etc etc, now all my issues are gone.

I can also now leave FSE turned on and get seamless 3D playback, NVIDIA cards still have issues with 3D playback which is why I still buy AMD.

What issues does nVidia have with 3D playback or any other playback for that matter?  Fwiw, I have no issues at all with madVR automatic refresh rate switching.  I am not using DSplayer but the facts remains....

just install this version of DSPLayer (as in the first post)  and get madvr and you are set.  The only thing not included in the installer is madVR.  Smile

Thank you for your answer, I found the installation solution in the meantime. On the other hand I had to post another question. I encounter a lot of problem.I give you back my message
I tried all the settings, followed all the tutorials. but still the same problems. Non-fluid image. This only on character moves and film framing change. there is a very unpleasant suction effect.
Quote:Hello everyone.I installed Kryton Dsplayer. And I can not have a flowing image. There is a lot of jerkiness. I spent all possible configurations. Only one possibility: Filter intern + EVR + filter Madvr (to have the HDR) It does not jerk, but the image is tiny, impossible to have a full screen. I'm lost. I can not find the solution.
pc: I5 + 16ram + GT 720 Nvidia + TV 4k Lg.
Cheers.

oh, that is probably due to the GT 720.  that is a very weak gpu for madVR

3D playback on nvidia card is a faff at best and often just doesnt work at all, i'm not going deep into the issues with this again, if you dont have any issues at all then you're part one a dwindling few i suspect and are using a workaround of some sort somewhere as nvidia doesnt reliably trigger MVC frame packed mode on TV's reliably as AMD seems to be able to do 100% of the time without skipping a beat.

I have an RX 550 and an NVIDIA GTX 1050 which is much more powerful than the RX, if I could use it I would but there have been nothing but issues with 3D and HDR for months, 3D for years. (HDR is now fixed)

There is an unsolvable issue with 3D on NVIDIA though which is well documented on the MADVR forum, you will get a frame skip every 4-9 minutes, 11 if you are lucky if you have spent hours fiddling with MADVR CRU, this is connected to NVIDIAs refusal to include true 23,976 playback out of the box. However this can be solved for 2D stuff, just doesnt work with 3D stuff at the moment.

For me even one frame skip/ repeat during a movie is unacceptable.

i've had this issues a couple of times in the last year, the first issue was related to my AMD RX card driver, this was eventually fixed but it took month. I still get this issue using DIRECT3D as the LAV decoder, if you are using this switch to COPY-BACK

edit: I also had this when one of my disks was on its way out, I only new it was on its way out though as stuff i'd copied to it recently exibited this issue but older stuff played fine, anything I copied to the disk from then on had problem. I replaced the disk and all the old stuff was still fine but all the newer stuff was still corrupt. I had to re-rip all the new stuff but it plays fine now.

I was getting no disk errors either so I suspect the controller on the disk was going but the physically partition was going.

I also have issues with 4k if I enable madvr refresh rate switching. Dont know if its madvr or dsplayer but definitely an issue. Video ppays in top right corner. If you search this thread you will see a couple of people with the same issue.

Did you try setting up the same as my previous post? It has worked flawlessly since I set up this way.

1. MadVR is set to refresh to only 4k resolutions. 2160p 23, 2160p 24 etc.
2. In Kodi 'adjust display refresh rate' is off
3. In DSplayer 'Fullscreen exclusive mode' and 'Force to exit from fullscreen before stop' are both switched on
4. In System/Display I have 'use fullscreen window' set to off

Sometimes I notice blame for problems are shifted from one thing to another.  Imo, neither have any role in causing the problem and it's usually something else entirely.  In this instance, to help you out, I'm just letting you know I have no problems with madVR refresh rates, HDR, or 3D using nVidia as has been suggested and I'm certain problems for others stem from something else.

To just say in passing, it's NVidia's fault or madVR's fault or W10 FCU fault or Kodi's fault etc. may be true but when another user posts they are using all these components and have no problems, it should be an indicator you might want to look elsewhere.  Or to post, I had nothing but problems when I used this and I did that until I switched and changed to doing this instead and I recommend everyone else do the same.  That would be fine except the problems the OP complained of were all his own and perhaps others making the same errors and nothing to do with the blames listed simply because others do not share the same misfortunes.  If you don't trust the testimonials of others, you may be barking up the wrong tree and never get it figured out or worse yet, settle for less and figure at least it's working..... when it could be better.

Why is that? Does your TV have very good upscaling? I'd be very surprised if its better than Madvr's

I have a gtx1030 and a sony xbr900e. I let my display upscale. All I wanted is 4k hdr working and I have it.
