v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
RPi B+ issues update.

#1 One down Smile The bright splash in right eye is gone with #0404. This is after I took my time to cut the piece of the 3D ISO file to make a test example. The test file didn't show the issue but so was the full movie. I had to roll back Kodi to see if this was me or something in the build. #0304 is last build with this issue. Thanks guys. Great job. I got worry for a bit that some hardware glitch cropped up into the B+.

I'm glad this didn't turn into my issue that nobody can repeat or see. Since I made test clip and filmed it I'm going to post it here for reference to show what was the issue Wink Not the greatest quality 120fps from iPhone over polarized glasses. Scene gets brighter for few frames (slow motion from 24fps movie) in right eye when the field robot has fully extended antenna. This is from Rouge One 1m 20s into the movie.

Update: #1 IS NOT FIXED. See next post below. With #0404 and enforcing of Whitelist my system went into 60Hz 3:2 pulldown. The splash is not visible on 60Hz. It's still true for 24fps on 24Hz display.

-----------------------------------------------------------
#2 Next issue is still there. A single frame dropping out with no turbo on B+. It happens with 3D and 2D videos. It's quite frequent and most of the time within first second of the new scene. It remands me cheap IPTV where you see it all the time Wink

#3 Didn't get a chance to test the third issue with recent builds of RPi B+ locking up within first half an hour of 3D MVC movies. Don't know if it is still happening with recent builds and if reducing clock or adjusting voltage has anything to do with it.
Hi there, it's been a long time that i had no issue, but since i updated to the lastest build #0407 the auto-framerate mode (50hz to 60hz or 60hz to 50hz while playing stream, media etc) is not working anymore (at least in TVH), so i do a complete test to see from which build the issue appeared.
i roll back TVH but is not related, so the autoframerate is working on the #0403, but all the Libreelec higher builds have this issue (i tried to #0404 to #0407), can someone else confirm?
tips : TVH #0407 with librelec #0403 all is working fine.
nb: i'm on tvh latest build #0407

wow, i have missed that completly
my mistake

In Settings > Display > Whitelist select the resolutions your TV supports (or you prefer) and then click OK.
i don't understand the benefice to switch to that point, because what happened when you play multiple files with different refresh rate switching?
sometimes i need to 60hz, sometimes 50hz and other, so i need each time to go to the setting to change the value in the whitelist??
edit : i read the github, i understand a little more the new setting but from my point of view, i don't get the value for this PR with a setting already working fine with auto adjust until now...
RPi B+ issues update Part 2.

#1 bright flash in right eye decoder error on MVC files is not fixed Sad
I got into this "Whitelist confusion" just like everybody else. From #0404 refresh rates are not switching. This by coincident stopped this bright flash anomaly in right eye on MVC files when displayed at 60Hz with 3:2 pulldown. I checked the entire whitelist and I'm back to original issue #1 on B+ Sad

Here is a link with the sample file:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t-UgS1e...sp=sharing

Videos below are still true. White flash on right eye when the field robot extends antenna. This is specific to 24Hz RPi B+ output of MVC video files. It happens 2 to 10 times per movie and is specific to scene and time. I can rewind and play it again with the same splash at very same time.

I tested this flash issue on projector (active glasses). I can't reproduce this on the projector. It could be something in my system Sad
Im not sure if this right thread to ask but lets try. Is there any way totally hide playback bar? Point is when i watch upcoming nhl playoffs, i dont want to see total time while seeking commercials or when pausing or buffering. That total runtime spoils if there will be overtime etc. I using raspberry and this libreelec.

Can you confirm that the bright glitch is visible when TV is in 2D mode and video is playing in SBS or TAB mode?
Is it also visible when video is set to "watch as 2D" and "flip eyes" is enabled?

That is a skin rather than kodi question. It is possible there exist skins that have the behaviour you want (but I'm only familiar with estuary). The skin files are editable text files so it's certainly possible to modify.

Im using default skin. Do you know what i need to modify for hiding it?

It's odd that gdb isn't able to produce a stacktrace as Kodi has started and gdb is going through the motions. If Kodi doesn't even start then it's normal for there to be no crashlog but that's not the case here. Very odd... It's possible the memory map threshhold change is impacting the ability to create a crashlog so that may require further tuning - I'll try and investigate that further when I have time.
I did some testing with all kinds of builds and it started with this build:

#1020, 20-Oct-2017: RPi / RPi2 -- Release post (New firmware; new 4.13.8 kernel; update to ffmpeg-3.4 (3.4-Leia-Alpha-1); update HEVC patches, reduces memory usage a little more)

with #1019 yatse browsing of files doesn't crash libreelec, starting with 1020 it does

After hours of testing I got to the bottom of bright glitch. It looks like it was coming from the TV itself. Input device with HDMI port number would hold specific TV configuration making it look like only RPi 3 B+ was at fault. The bright flash in right eye issue was caused by turning colour correction for 3D mode on the TV itself (OLED E6 with latest Korean firmware).

Thanks for help and tips. Sorry for taking so much space in this thread Wink I'm back to pristine immersive 3D image from RPi Smile

There's not really anything in #1020 which relates to file browsing, or Yatse, but there were ffmpeg changes, so maybe this is an issue with thumbnail extraction or similar, and only happens if the directory being browsed includes certain content (which is why it doesn't happen for everyone). Does it only crash in certain folders, which would suggest it is content related. Are you sure the crash only happens with Yatse - does it crash if you navigate to the same folder with a keyboard/remote? Did #1020 produce a crashlog?
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

it seems, that it only happens in folders with .srt files. Is there a way to enable debug logging via console? I only have ssh & yatse access at the moment to the system.

It only happens with yatse, not when browsing the folder on libreelec itself with keyboard / remote

Edit: Here is the debug-enabled crash log of 1020: https://pastebin.com/U0ivnMcK
