In the log, can you remove and re-add an SMB location and then try to set CinemaVision to use that location?

Have you tried disabling the KodiDB scraper in your Trailer Module? I've never heard of the other behavior. When it starts randomly in the movie, is it a movie in your library that you've started in the past and wasn't finished or restarted?
Also on random occasions when trailers are playing, it will start playing a movie instead of the next trailer. It’ll start randomly somewhere in a movie.
thx

Another thing you could try is automating the content update using the CinemaVision Service add-on which is currently in development. Download it here. Set it to update on a schedule, and have it kick off when you're not using your HTPC. I'll talk to our developer about the idea.
A feature request. Can the content update be broken down into pieces, or perhaps the trailer update can be separated somehow?
I use trivia slides and apple trailers. The trivia slides are pretty much static. Apple trailers get updated on a daily basis. So when I do the content updates, I actually want to update the trailers.
The issue is, every time, the trivia slides are reimported, which takes several minutes on arm based devices. The trailer update takes about 2 seconds.
Is there anyway I can do just the apple trailer update without rescanning all the trivia slides?
Thanks

I believe Python 3 is coming in Kodi 18, so this problem will solve itself once that's released and we update the code.
In particular my question in around the automation script portion of CinemaVisioon. I received some nanoleaf panels and am looking to automate them as part of my CinemaVision. I am able to control the lights using python but the problem is the code to interface to the lights is written in python 3. It looks like the CinemaVision automation action control will only spawn a python2 interpreter. Is there a way to use python3 for some scripts and python2 for others? I am utilizing this interface https://github.com/software-2/nanoleaf
Thanks,

I stopped using it then last night I decided to try it out again and see if it could work, but I'm getting an odd error that produces no errors in the logs or anything. This sounds suspiciously like Conditional Sequences. We introduced that feature to allow you to create Sequences that would be automatically selected based on criteria like Genre, Studio, etc. Open the Sequence Editor, pick your Sequence, press C on your keyboard, and choose Sequence Settings. At the top, make sure that your Sequence is set to Active, and that it's not set to hide from the Queue Editor.
I've set it up the way I like it as far as sequence. When I run the cinemavision as a test inside the add-on, it works; I see the bumpers, the trailers, etc. I have saved as "default" (name of the sequence).
When I try to load it from the context menu for a movie, the context menu for cinemavision pops up, where it gives me the option to play, cancel, etc. In the top right hand corner, there is no name for the sequence loaded. It's just a blank box. I can't select play, cancel, or anything. The only thing I can do is back out of the screen, which it does. It doesn't freeze or anything...it just doesn't do anything.
I'm running krypton 17.6, android, on shield tv.
Is there a way around this error? Can I make it so when I push enter on a movie, it'll start the sequence in case it's the context menu that's screwing it up?
Thanks for the amazing work! I really love the add-on (when it's working for me..)

The only sure-fire way to get around that issue right now is to store all of your trailers locally, but that comes with its own limitations. We're working on other solutions and I hope to have a reliable trailer source soon. Check out this guide on the CinemaVision website if you want to hide that part of the interface.
loving the cinemavision addon and after a bit of work I've managed to get it working nicely with Kodi DSPlayer.
I do however have a couple of little issues I'm trying to work out, so I'm here to pick your brains
1. Despite having a pretty fast internet connection with 200meg download, I cannot get 1080p Apple trailers to play without so much stopping and buffering they are unwatchable. Is this a know issue with Apple trailers or is there a trick to make them work?
2. After my trailers and bumpers etc have finished and for a couple of seconds before the feature plays, I can see the Kodi interface. Is there any way to prevent this? It seems to be the only minor thing spoiling the cinema aesthetic for me right now.

I have 1.1.0 installed, and when I go into the trivia configuration under music I select directory but the only option I get is urepo, I installed the urepo repo to get TVTunes. So I removed the repo and it's still showing Urepo as the only option. at the top I see www.urepo.net/installYou need to make sure that you've added a local source for your media in Kodi. Keep in mind that CinemaVision does not support streaming sources, and all of your media must exist in the Kodi database for the add-on to work. You also need a local place for your CinemaVision media. There are guides on the CinemaVision website that walk you through how to configure all of that.
what do I do to fix this?
