Yes it must be a module problem. The tuner was working for years. in older day there was a buggy driver in kernel too, then it worked for years and now we go a step back and hav the buggy driver again.

Is it possible to revert this shitty patch or does it something usefull too? can milhouse revert it for me to watch dvbs again? Big Grin please?
It was already reverted at some point, not sure why this does not seem to be the case in current builds.
Once you're in safe mode, post the crash log (it will be from the crashed installation). You can also enable ssh and login while in safe mode.

It didn't do that on every build before the #0921 (all previous firmware are fine)

What hardware is this RPi0, RPi1, RPi2, RPi3, RPi3+?

Can you post your config.txt.

Have you tried running bcmstat.sh Zyed1 and monitored the temperature and event flags during playback? What temps are you seeing?
issue gone with the next build #0922
so no need to investigate further
NB : the temperature was very high (80° C / 176°F) with the icon bleeking that the PI3 was hot

Hmm yeah, not sure what happened there - must have fallen through the cracks. I'll revert it in tonight's build.

OK worked out what happened - the revert had been added to the build system for the move to 4.18.y (and present in early 4.18.y test builds), but then the 4.18.y kernel update was split into separate Generic and RPi bumps due to uncertainty over the RPi move to 4.18.y, and at that point the revert commit was accidentally dropped for RPi. So the revert has been in Generic since 4.18.3 (#0819) but missing from RPi since 4.18.4 (#0821). It will be in tonight's build #0925.

Hi @phunkyfish, I also have problems since you introduced Autotimers. I believe the function TimerUpdatesAuto() has a problem here as my timers are loaded correctly.

OK thanks for the update - might be useful to know about that in case it causes problems for anyone else upgrading.
I managed to reproduce this so will supply a fix in the coming days. It was due to corrupted timers on the STB so hopefully would not effect other users.

Hmm, what distribution and version of Enigma2 are you running? Also the the OpenWebIf version. I see that searchType not a valid value for the version I'm running.

It may be that you need a newer version of OpenWebIf. The docs are not good for it so it was difficult to pick a minimum version.

I'll also add a feature switch so you can turn autotimer support on/off. I think I know what the issue is though so should have a fix by the time you are back.

I'm on the latest VTi 13.0.12 (enigma2-plugin-extensions-openwebif - 1.2.8-vti-20180829-r0).
Thank you in advance, looking forward to a testrun when I return!
Hi,

thank you. sorry to tell that it was not enough to get it back working, and thanks again for reacting that fast!! But my problem got better. The dvbs sky card now gets a poll time out like before, BUT i can see that now with your changes it is trying to tune, because red LED is blinking while searching for channels! That was not with your older builds, before your changes there was just a green power led shining.. when i hit scan button no red LED was flashing, only after 20 reboots once, very short. That was the behavior of the patch, the card only reacted every 20 time.. now that is good as expected.

But i think the module itself has changed at some point. I can tell that with a new libreelec 7 installation i got 119 muxes and 2000 channels. in libreelec 8 there come only 50 muxes and about 700 channles. and i have to add a few muxes by hand, the tvheadend predefined doenst work. i think the card itself cant handle some frequencies with newer modules..

Edit: i installed fresh on sdcard libreelec 8.90005, then updated to milhous #925. no difference between both. sat cable works on sky receiver..
Edit2: it is scanning now... 108 muxes for now. i tried build in drivers and media build with 8.90000005 and no scan working. after upgrade to milhouse i only checked the installed media build and had no luck. now changed to build in back and the scann is running!! sorry for all shitposting, i will only tell once if it works stable when done!

thank you, how can i help you? where is paypal button?
