Hi all,

Again a new release to be ready for the official launch of Kodi Leia.

4.0.5
- Fixed wallpaper color bleed through at submenu (#2321)
- Added scrolling to chapter title label in video (#2323)
- Added SpFt (=Special Features, SF would give disambiguation with super favorites) logo for special features in video navigator views (#2324)
- Refactor media info / now playing views (confluence update)
- Re-aligned settings and skinsettings screens

Still haven't been able to successfully install version 4.0.4 

What worked for me on rc1 in windows:

• switch to a different skin
  
• uninstall xonfluence (keep addon data)
  
• delete addons/temp in windows explorer
  
• delete xonfluence zip files in addons/packages
  
• install xonfluence 4.04
  
• switch back to xonf
  

Bit long-winded, but hey-ho. 

Tried to install 4.0.5 and had the same issue as installing 4.0.4.  What worked again was the above info. from troggy.

Thanks for v4.0.5 of Xonfluence.  No trouble updating skin on my machine.
However, there IS trouble in Special Features Land. (BTW, also updated to LibreELEC 8.90.009)

1)  I do not see any SpFt logo displayed in flagging panels when there is an "Extras" folder present within the individual movie folder. Not in Media Info 3 view, or in the Movie Info panel itself.




2) and, the Special Features button in the Movie Info panel fails to launch the add-on.

The add-on itself is working, and can be launched successfully from the context menu:

...resulting in the expected list of features...


Any idea about how to make this work ?

You probably know this... when video is paused with OSD showing, the artwork is overlayed by text & buttons:



I suppose this is the best compromise, to make room for the pause graphic...

I've had this update problem in windows for a while.  I tried to reproduce it on a fresh install.
I set up a new install - leia rc2 windows x64 portable on windows 7.
Installed confluence from repo, then installed xonfluence dependencies and xonfluence 4.0.2 (all from zips)
Installed Hellyrepo.
Tried to update to 4.0.5
4.0.5 is downloaded and unzipped into a folder in addons/temp/, but that's as far as it goes.  There's an 'installation failed' notification.
Log is here.
See around 10:31:03 for installation errors:

ERROR: XFILE::CFile::Rename - Error renaming file ...\addons\skin.xonfluence
ERROR: Failed to move old addon files from '...\addons\skin.xonfluence' to '...\addons\temp\583ab7e3-7f1e-4f85-9a26-65f26dffb393'

It's not a big deal for me (and I don't know if this is a general kodi issue), but I'm happy to test / debug further.

 Troggy,  I get the exact same error message in my log as well.  On a windows 10 device using RC2 x64, just not portable.

Can confirm that the update gets downloaded and created here C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\temp\dd6e58ae-08c4-4ea8-a244-2f5282bcb309 but then it fails.

Thanks again for your good work. However, the implementation on Xonfluence is exactly the same as on confluence and some other skins. So I don't know why Special Features is not launched. I cannot get special features to work on my skin. Can you check an other skin? Can you check the logfile?

About the flags, I think I know why they don't work. However I don't know how to fix it. I cannot get information from the addon whether a listitem has special features. No other skin uses this flag, so I cannot use that code. I think it is just not possible at the moment.

Again you found a bug. I think it is a result of too much customization. It is hard for me to check every option. But you helped me, so consider it fixed on the next release.

 Thank Trogggy and others for the information.

I don't like to say, but I cannot help it. Downloading, copying, moving and unzipping files is a kodi thing. I don't test on Windows, therefore I don't have these issues. Maybe it has to do with permissions of your ..\addons\skin.xonfluence folder, but I don't know for sure.

I hope someone else can help you with this issue.
