I have tried that version and now the blu-ray works perfectly, both the menus and the playback, change chapter while playing, etc. (tested with five different blu-ray).
I have tried several DVDs and now the menus already work without problem, but I have seen that then the reproduction does not work well in some of them (that used to work), what happens is that the menu works well, but then when I select a chapter or I select that it starts from the beginning it begins to reproduce, the sound does not work and after 10 seconds or so, the image freezes. I have seen that some of them worked but most fail in the same way, for example the famous Queen Wembley concert. Maybe it's another problem that has nothing to do with the bug in the menus, but in Kodi RC5.2 it worked without problem.
regards.
UPDATE: I've also tested with some mpeg2 videos extracted from DVD (.vob without recoding) and they work perfectly, with sound and without freezing.

I knew that Leia introduced Blu-ray iso but I thought it was limited to Windows system due to BD-J Menu requiring Java run-time. Are you saying that all Blu-ray iso menu works in Leia from RC5.2. Thanks

Remember that not all devices can run the 64bit version. Nvidia shield is for sure 64bit.

It looks more like 5fps than 25fps. I'm using a Beelink GT1 Android device. This did not occur on Kodi 17.6.I can confirm that disabeling MediaCodec (Surface) helps a lot
Edit: Fixed by installing a testbuild that disables surface mediacodec for dvds by default.
