When in a menu i just have 1 widget i have bellow the sellect movie the description, etc, but if have 2 or more i no longer have description, just several lines with the posters.

Is there someway i can have that info on multi widget menus or is the some other way to get the description?

Thanks

Anyone?

When there is multiwidgets this description doesn't show.
Is it related to skin or skin.helper addon?
Is there any workaround?

Description is only available for single widgets. It doesn't make sense for multiple widgets to have description.

1. I've mapped C:\Dropbox\Favorites\ as a picture source and added it as a submenu widget.
Is there a way to hide the file extension in said widget (I've disabled "Show file extensions" in Media Settings > General)?

2. I like the star and IMDB rating in the movie information screen.
However, when viewing the information screen for a TV show, the IMDB rating behind the star rating is missing. Is this a bug?

I'll have a look at 1. Are you using the basic home screen? Any reason why you are adding as a widget rather than a background?

For (2) - What scraper are you using? On a fresh install of Leia, I found I had to change the default scraper settings for tvshows to get ratings for all shows scraped to the library. I use TVDB scraper with ratings set to scrape from imdb.

2) In Kodi I'm using "local information" only and the Emby addon. The Emby server has different scrapers; tmdb, omdb, tvdb, but it doesn't specifically say which one is used to get the IMDB ratings. The ratings are there in Estuary and also in Embuary (just checked). Smile

Do you have userrating set to 0? Because that would override the rating. The other issue might be if Emby is putting a non-numeric value in ListItem.Rating

Wait - are you saying that the number rating next to the imdb icon is missing? Or are you saying that the star rating is blank? I'm talking about the star rating. If you are talking about the imdb icon rating, you need to set up skin helper properly for that. See first post for details.

I'm not sure the changes to Video OSD make sense; what system do you test on?

With the default remote layout on my Nvidia Shield it is really difficult to see the finish time; you have to choose between wanting to see the full plot/poster and your new simple view with finish time.

Currently when pressing the centre button you get play controls and press up for the plot/poster; can you add the finish time to both of those overlays?

Currently when you long press the centre button the video pauses and displays basic title info without controls; that is when I would show your new simple view.

With the option enabled - What if I remove poster, plot and ratings, but keep the Title and InfoLine (Year | MPAA | Genre).
Title/Infoline move down and to the left (where poster would be).

I'll try a few things and report back.

EDIT: Please try v0.9.31

That looks pretty nice.
Thanks. But I think to be more consequent you should keep the old pause seekbar with the title bottom middle.

For esthetic reasons you should rename the option (it’s not just the seeking bar) and maybe you could color the „dot“ between time and endtime like the dots in the seeking/pause label.

in 0.9.31-a8, I reconfigured the options a bit:
The options are now:
- Always display on-screen info
- Simple on-screen info (hide poster and plot)

Both options can now be selected together.
I like the way you did it now.
Thank you.

Maybe you shoud color the "dot" between time and endtime like in other OSD labels.
Includes_Label.xml, Lines 112 and 113 -> $INFO[System.Time,$LOCALIZE[555]  ,]$INFO[Player.FinishTime,  •  $LOCALIZE[31106] ,]

The latter is correct - The IMDB icon with the number rating next to it is missing for TV shows. I'll have a look at the first page again, I might have missed something. Hopefully I haven't wasted your time, but I'll report back after work when I've had a look. Thanks!
After changing my homescreen widgets I am a bit confused.
For TVshows I use a landscape widget for "In-progress TV shows", but its the same in other widgets.

  1. As to see in my screenshot in landscape widgets A:Z2 uses fanart with clearlogo in bottom right corner.
Fanarts are in the backgound as well, so it's used twice. Shouldn't this be thumbs instead of fanarts?
This is the same in any library view with landscape pictures.

  2. In selected mode (see screenshot) there is the rating, a date (of the first episode) and (what should be where the red box is?).
I would expect rating, year (not date), watched episodes and maybe status like in other views.
Same label is used in the tri-panel view in TV show library.

    Image

  3. In any other view (with info text) the info line shows also the date of the first episode when selecting a whole season.
As mentioned above I would expect rating, year (not date), watched episodes and maybe status.

    Image

  4. In my movie widget (unwatched movies) the ratings are missing.
TVDB and IMDB are selected in options. Don't know if this is an issue in other widget types.

(2019-05-05, 13:23)NinjaMonkeyUK Wrote: What is the video flag that is needed for MVC discs?  Any discs that are 3D are encoded using MVC rather than AVC / VC-1 and at the moment these don't show an icon in the bottom right of the window.

Can you disable codecs in skin settings and then open info for the movie. It should tell you what the codec name is there (near language and studio info). If you tell me what that is, then I can add a flag.
My 3D Blu-rays are stored in the library using disc stubs, i.e. I am not scraping against ISO / MKV files.  I include an NFO with each movie and set the video format in there to "MVC".  The Kodi documentation (here) states:
Quote:Shows the video codec of the currently selected video (common values: 3iv2, avc1, div2, div3, divx, divx 4, dx50, flv, h264, microsoft, mp42, mp43, mp4v, mpeg1video, mpeg2video, mpg4, rv40, svq1, svq3, theora, vp6f, wmv2, wmv3, wvc1, xvid)

No mention of MVC but then I don't know if that is because the list is of common values (i.e. not exhaustive) or if it is because MVC might just be seen as an extension of AVC.

I can effectively put anything between the video <codec></codec> tags in my NFO file, so for example it could just be MVC or it could be AVC-MVC or something like that.  Is there anywhere that lists all the supported codecs that Kodi recognises?  I might be barking up the wrong tree if Kodi simply sees MVC format as AVC.

The lists underneath were limited to 25 (which is where the count come from).
I've removed the limit in latest release.
I can confirm this now works. Thanks!

Not possible currently, but might be an interesting option to have. I'll look into it.
I did manage to change the icon size in vertical mode (by modding includes home xml), but that wasn't my goal, and no joy with simple mode so far Big Grin

Thank you for looking into it Sir!

The funny thing is that the imdb icon and score shows up as it should in the poster showcase view:
https://i.imgur.com/t0SmSI7.jpg

but, in the info screen it doesn't:
https://i.imgur.com/wDCRNsR.jpg

Isn't that a bit weird?

That being said: I installed the beta version of skin helper and enabled the online scraper for tvdb, tmdb and fanart.tv in the settings for script.module.metadatautils.
After doing this, I can see the tvdb rating in the info screen, but now I have a mismatch going on. IMDB rating in the poster showcase view and the tvdb rating in the info screen, and the ratings are not the same.
hello ... as a first excuse for xer translation from German to English .... a question why the zephyr 2 is not exactly the settings on the player have the icon right below in color are for example at hd redy etc as the case sky arctic zaiphir laia mod .... or is this your own addon
thx and Top Skin
In my advancedsettings.xml I use:

/ :

<videolibrary>
  <itemseparator> / </itemseparator>
</videolibrary>

However, this doesn't work with Arctic: Zephyr 2 as the genres are separated by "/" rather than my custom setting.  Is this hardcoded or can it be swapped out for code that looks to the advancedsettings.xml setting?

It appears that you're actually setting it to be... "/".
