The ratings are there in Estuary and also in Embuary (just checked). Smile

Do you have userrating set to 0? Because that would override the rating. The other issue might be if Emby is putting a non-numeric value in ListItem.Rating

Wait - are you saying that the number rating next to the imdb icon is missing? Or are you saying that the star rating is blank? I'm talking about the star rating. If you are talking about the imdb icon rating, you need to set up skin helper properly for that. See first post for details.

The latter is correct - The IMDB icon with the number rating next to it is missing for TV shows. I'll have a look at the first page again, I might have missed something. Hopefully I haven't wasted your time, but I'll report back after work when I've had a look. Thanks!

Sorry, my mistake. I was only showing imdb from skinhelper for movies. Glad I clarified as I assumed you were talking about some completely different issue. Fixed in latest release:

It appears that you're actually setting it to be... "/".

Haha whoops! But nope, I just copied that from the Kodi advancedsettings.xml wiki page.  My actual advancedsettings.xml file uses "|" in place of "/".

With the default remote layout on my Nvidia Shield it is really difficult to see the finish time; you have to choose between wanting to see the full plot/poster and your new simple view with finish time.

Currently when pressing the centre button you get play controls and press up for the plot/poster; can you add the finish time to both of those overlays?

Currently when you long press the centre button the video pauses and displays basic title info without controls; that is when I would show your new simple view.

My loungeroom hardware is:
HTPC: Core 2 Duo, 2gb ram, Radeon HD5450, LibreElec.
TV: TCL 50" 4k (though my graphics card can only output 1080p)
REMOTE: HP MCE Receiver and Remote

I've had this HTPC hardware since before Shields and RPis were even a thing.

Kodi is designed with a seven button remote in mind (Dpad, OK, Back, Info) and so are my skins. You can get by on a six button remote, but without an info button navigation is considerably more difficult and you miss out on a number of basic kodi functions (for instance, toggling onscreen info).

Also, I haven't changed anything regarding the onscreen info layout with default settings. All I changed was I added the title to the option that disables poster and plot.

Please consider adding aspect ratio to the set of icons at the bottom right of the screen, between video codec and audio codec.  I would argue that this information is far more important than the video codec so it should be there.

The reason I need this information readily available is that I use a scope (2.35:1) screen for my projector, so I need to decide which lens memory to set it to (1.78, 1.85, 2.20, 2.35, etc) before watching the movie.  Having this info on the main screen alongside video and audio codecs would be really helpful, and is a feature I sorely miss from the original Arctic: Zephyr skin!

If necessary, I can make the relevant icons if you let me know what resolution and format (I assume PNG) you need them in.

Further to this, I have created a set of 64x64 aspect ratio icons which I can upload to wherever necessary to get this feature added.  Smile

Thanks. But I think to be more consequent you should keep the old pause seekbar with the title bottom middle.

For esthetic reasons you should rename the option (it’s not just the seeking bar) and maybe you could color the „dot“ between time and endtime like the dots in the seeking/pause label.

in 0.9.31-a8, I reconfigured the options a bit:
The options are now:
- Always display on-screen info
- Simple on-screen info (hide poster and plot)

Both options can now be selected together.
I like the way you did it now.
Thank you.

Maybe you shoud color the "dot" between time and endtime like in other OSD labels.
Includes_Label.xml, Lines 112 and 113 -> $INFO[System.Time,$LOCALIZE[555]  ,]$INFO[Player.FinishTime,  •  $LOCALIZE[31106] ,]

Will do - it is a bit of pain though because Kodi doesn't accept a variable inside an info label (highlight colour uses a variable) and not all playing items have an endtime (e.g. some tv/radio PVR streams).

For TVshows I use a landscape widget for "In-progress TV shows", but its the same in other widgets.

  1. As to see in my screenshot in landscape widgets A:Z2 uses fanart with clearlogo in bottom right corner.
Fanarts are in the backgound as well, so it's used twice. Shouldn't this be thumbs instead of fanarts?
This is the same in any library view with landscape pictures.

  2. In selected mode (see screenshot) there is the rating, a date (of the first episode) and (what should be where the red box is?).
I would expect rating, year (not date), watched episodes and maybe status like in other views.
Same label is used in the tri-panel view in TV show library.

    Image

  3. In any other view (with info text) the info line shows also the date of the first episode when selecting a whole season.
As mentioned above I would expect rating, year (not date), watched episodes and maybe status.

    Image

  4. In my movie widget (unwatched movies) the ratings are missing.
TVDB and IMDB are selected in options. Don't know if this is an issue in other widget types.

    Image

1. You need to enable landscape art specifically now. It's optional because many users blur the background (or just prefer fanart).
Skin Settings > Library > Landscape Art

2. Yeah it is supposed to be the same - it should show number of watched episodes
(though I don't think next aired date works on home screen currently).
Can you test v0.9.32-a2 - should be fixed
(also, FYI, still working on getting full info to show when widget is not focused).
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arc...alpha2.zip

3. Should also be fixed as of v0.9.32-a2 - Can you confirm?

4. Do you have skinhelper beta setup as per the first post?

Can you disable codecs in skin settings and then open info for the movie. It should tell you what the codec name is there (near language and studio info). If you tell me what that is, then I can add a flag.
My 3D Blu-rays are stored in the library using disc stubs, i.e. I am not scraping against ISO / MKV files.  I include an NFO with each movie and set the video format in there to "MVC".  The Kodi documentation (here) states:
Quote:Shows the video codec of the currently selected video (common values: 3iv2, avc1, div2, div3, divx, divx 4, dx50, flv, h264, microsoft, mp42, mp43, mp4v, mpeg1video, mpeg2video, mpg4, rv40, svq1, svq3, theora, vp6f, wmv2, wmv3, wvc1, xvid)

No mention of MVC but then I don't know if that is because the list is of common values (i.e. not exhaustive) or if it is because MVC might just be seen as an extension of AVC.

I can effectively put anything between the video <codec></codec> tags in my NFO file, so for example it could just be MVC or it could be AVC-MVC or something like that.  Is there anywhere that lists all the supported codecs that Kodi recognises?  I might be barking up the wrong tree if Kodi simply sees MVC format as AVC.

Ah, didn't realise you were using stubs.

I think that list is not exhaustive, just an example of common codecs. Kodi should pick-up and report anything that you put in the codec tags. The issue is that the skin needs to include a png with the same to use as the texture (it's a simple filename match) and I definitely don't have an mvc codec flag in the skin. Also, when you play the movie, kodi will override your nfo settings and report whatever codec is being used to play the video.

You can see what codecs the skin supports here:
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arc...ome/source

If something is missing, let me know and I can add it.

Thanks for considering it

@jurialmunkey  have you seen my question ? Thanks for your time

I don't really understand what you are asking. Are saying to override the subtitle button with subtitle offset? What would be the point of that? The subs button is for cycling through available subs or downloading one if none are available - you would lose that ability. For more detailed settings, you can access subtitle settings from the settings cog on the osd.

The skin doesn't manipulate infolabels. The list of genres is one single string that kodi supplies to the skin in the infolabel $INFO[ListItem.Genre] - so genres displayed are whatever is contained in that infolabel.
This is either a scraper or Kodi issue.

I'm all for adding aspect ratio icons. The main problem is that all the monochrome aspectratio icons available really don't fit with the design of the skin.
If you have *nice* monochrome aspectratio icons then I am certainly happy to include them (I hate the ones that I made for AZ1).

All the codec flag icons are on a canvas 71x48px with some padding around the edges.

Could we get the option for colored vs. monochrome icons, at least for ratings? I miss my little green tomato splat on my bad movies Sad

Thanks for replying; AZ is hands down the best Kodi skin.

I understand the button limitations of Shield remote, but can you add the end-time to more overlays? Currently, on the Shield, the only way to see the end time is to pause the video.
