Hi guys can pls help me i have Nvidia Shield + Kodi 18.1 + Google Drive Addon with my collection in .strm, but i cannot see flags like languaje, subtitle, resolution, codec, etc. in movies and tv shows :/

I think it is because Kodi doesn't know about the file. Try to start playback of one movie, then stop and go back to the movie on home screen, you should see tags now. No?

Kodi doesn't read the file in home screen, so you have to go into the library and look at the files, then Kodi will touch the file and generate it's info. Then refresh the skin or restart Kodi. The tags should then show up. Same thing happens with Kodi generated thumbs. Kodi doesn't analyze the file before it has been touched directly by playback or directly inside the episodes list.

I frikkin love this skin. I used 1 and now 2.

So I had two questions cause I remember it working like that in the past:
1) I enable the poster and summary view on pause. Is there a way to turn it off when you’re pressing skip.
2) when the stop skipping or pressing play after pause, it takes like 1 sec to close the info pop up

Could you tell me what files I'd need to add something to to do a menu item that'd show up same place as bounce effect in the settings and link it to the setting? I'd love to try and implement the whole thing myself, but I'm not very good at these things so it'd be cool if I could just sit and try and do it.

I'm thinking the "includes_View" and the "SkinSettings" files is all I need to make changes to if I just want to add this as a new setting?

I can't even find the switch to turn on or off the focusbounce, now. I'm not sure where I found it to begin with. Maybe it's my imagination that it was even in the skin settings to begin with?

 I mean.. TVDB scrapes all the text strings info just fine now...? But that was what I was thinking too... But I'd *THINK* that it would at least scrape the info now.. Also, all artwork from former scraped shows should be showing up again.. I'll change to Estuary and see if it keeps Next Aired empty..

@jurialmunkey, is it possible to have the logos for "Blu-ray", "UHD Blu-ray", DVD, etc, replicated from the "media/flags/monochrome/other/" folder into the "skins/extras/icons/" folder please?

I want to use them for my sub-menu items so I can assign them to my custom playlists for my discs.

Also, if I was to try to create some custom icons to go with these (for Arrow Video, Hong Kong Legends, etc) what size does the image need to be, and how much padding is there?

Also, I'd like to be able to see the "WebDL" logo in Kodi, but I don't know what tag activates this logo (web-dl.png").  How do you name your files in order for them to be seen as WebDL?

And lastly, is it possible to have the official Blu-ray 3D logo available for use in the skin too please?  It is available here: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c...d_logo.png

Does anyone know what XML dictates views for "video" content? I'm desperately trying to add my own custom view for the YouTube and Twitch add-ons which both only have "List" and "Square wall" available as views. They both have "<provides>video</provides>" in addon.xml.

Sounds like the YouTube and Twitch add-ons aren't declaring a mediatype when they build their directories, which means Kodi is falling back to "files", and only showing the appropriate viewtypes from the skin. You'd need to fix their code to do so.

I love the work being done on the PVR.  But i do prefer some of the OSD from recordings vs current LiveTV.  Specifically, it was great when we could hit arrow up to get codec and audio info for the channel being played - I like to easily see the resolution, framerate, and audio. 



I know this could probably be done by hitting info or mapping a key, but I do like slim remotes and have no extra keys.  Perhaps you could consider bringing it back for Live TV similar to watching recordings. Thank you.

There will be an option soon to switch between the two styles

Thank you, that does seem to be the case. Apparently it's due to Kodi requiring addons to set viewtype to "video" or something along those lines? It's not clear to me, but it seems weird that this breaks viewtypes for every skin out there (at least the ten or so I've tried). There's an unofficial version of the YouTube addon which seems to set content type to "episodes" unlocking all the normal viewtypes, but not for the Twitch one. I've settled on editing the normal list view "50" and "500" as the only thing I wanted gone was the poster box. Ran into a problem with the List Square view (500) however. Can someone tell me what is responsible for the marked box in the screenshot attached? It's present in view 500 (List Square) but not in 50 (List) and from what I can see there's nothing in "Includes_View_50_List.xml" responsible for this. I would like this box gone as it overlaps the list items if I remove the left indent.

all other ratings are turned on on settings.
