Intentional. If the widget contains episodes then the landscape widget will show episode thumbs.
But can't we have the option to choose Fanart's if we prefer it, just like you gave us with Aura?

Have you tried the "Landscape Art" option?

Yes, it doesn't change anything for me.

It changes whether the skin prefers landscape or fanart artwork.
Is there a way to change the font or make it larger.  My eyesight isn't what it used to be and the TV in the bedroom isn't as big as I want it to be so it can be difficult reading the the names of shows and episode numbers when using a "last added" widget on the main menu.

Doesn't matter. If the dbtype is episode the skin will show a thumb and not landscape/fanart.
Arctic Fuse 2 - Alpha now available. Support me on Ko-fi.

Sorry, no. Managing multiple fontsets is too much of a pain skinning wise.
You can edit font sizes in Fonts.xml

OK, no worries at all.  I'll hack around and see what I can do, or buy a bigger TV and risk the wrath of the wife.
Dude really digging the commit logs, you are the man!

Love your work and just wanted to drop some props.
I tried searching for the answer with much luck so a very basic and I'm sure previously answered question..

Is it possible to have a widget in the basic menu setting?  I'm trying to get it to look like the original A:Z which is still the family favorite at my place.

Doesn't look like it. Your best option is utilizing the submenus and ticking "replace with hub" under settings - in there you can add all the sections you want and add a widget to all of them so you can display playlists. But that's rather limiting too compared to the multi widget setup in terms of needed clicks to navigate. I guess that's why it's called basic. :p But it works. There's also the "Background widget" which gives you an option to click "Up" and browse set content. But it's again rather basic. (It's the first screenshot in post 1 by jurial.)

Out of curiosity, what makes AZ1 the most preferred for you guys? You can almost make the multi widget horizontal setting work like old AZ did. It can have a widget that displays what ever you want from a playlist, and you click on the home menu item to go into a set library or playlist. If you only add one widget to the multi widget view you get synopsis and times and all that jazz added. I do it in my movie setting. Sure it's not JUST like old AZ seeing that it moves around stuff, but it presents the content you want pretty neatly and gives you an option to go into the library as well. See what I mean?

I can see how basic looks closest to old AZ though. And makes the background fanart really stand out. But besides that, I feel like AZ2 is way more versatile in getting to the content you want quickly.

And all this multi widget extravaganza is really new and sexy looking, so who knows, maybe basic will receive some single widget love later down the line. Big Grin Or maybe basic is just... Basic.

There's also the option for the AZ1 Leia-MOD by beatmasterrs over here.
Is there an option to disable the search item on the far left of the fixed-width text horizontal home menu layout?

Would there be any way to change the (Home_horizontal_multiple with icons) from top to botton? maybe in includes_Home?  Thanks. Perfect Skin

Not at this time.

It's what they are used it.  And the menu at the bottom, the pop of the background that's enhanced by the menu having it's own background.

No doubt they'll get used to the new setup and as I learn what all the new whizzbang features are they'll come to love A:Z2 as much as I do.

Yeah, that might help a little, but I think if it can't look like the basic I might as well indoctrinate them with the horizontal being above.
