I was having constant buffering/freezing issues and the video would close it self. This is on kodi 18+ and i tried all tfc versions with no luck. This never happened before kodi updated to 18+. I have 2 nvidia shield tv that runs tfc and it was happening on both systems. It is not my internet since I have a 1Gbps fiber. I thought it was my nvidia shield tv since it updated to 8.0 almost the same week when kodi updated to 18+. Today I finally tried rolling back kodi to 17.6 and tfc version 1.3.4 and the issues went away. Everything plays smoothly like before. Sadly I forgot to save the logs before I uninstalled everything. Just sharing my experience since I read a post in this thread with someone else having the same issues. It might help.

SD movies are playing but not HD. No errors, but it loads for 5 seconds, then stops loading, then goes back to the menu. I'm using 1.4.0 with the latest Kodi. Anyone else having this issue?

^ Actually some HD movies do play, and some doesnt. For example, the movie "Kasal" or "It Takes a Man and a Woman" are not, but the HD movie "Kita Kita" is working

I’ve been having buffering/freezing issues and video closing itself as well ever since I updated my kodi to 18+. I also did the advice of rolling kodi back to 17.6 and tfc version 1.3.4 but it didn’t work since it still buffers, freezes and close itself. Now I’m back to 17.6 and tfc version 1.4 and I have no idea what else to do than clicking the resume button every time the video closes or fast forward when it totally restarts itself. It’s annoying but no choice. Waiting for another an update pls.

Fixed mine when I tried generate new fingerprint and exit kodi.
