I've noticed that sometimes, but not always, when I start Kodi some menu items are missing.  The place where they should be is a blank line.  Choosing "reload skin" seems to correct it; is this a Kodi issue or a skin issue?  I've noticed it in some of your other skins like Aura but can't say I've seen it in the default.

Also, I've noticed the home layout menu occasionally reverts back to horizontal format with "basic" as the menu style. When I change it back to "vertical menu| multiple widgets" and the menu style to "icons + text" it sticks for a few days before reverting to the default.

Lastly, is there any way on the Surface to change Kodi so it always display in 16L9 instead of 3:2?  I don't believe your skins are aspect ratio agnostic and they cut off part of the posters in 3:2

Do you use profiles? Skin strings not loading is a known bug with profiles and nothing much I can do about it. Reloading the skin is the only solution.

Because the menu setting is saved as a skin string this is why it sometimes reverts back to default layout.

Can't comment on aspect ratios as all my devices are 16:9 and the skin is designed for that ratio.  

Yes I do, one for each of the four family members, plus an "Admin" account.  Thanks, that explains the menu items!

Try that, it worked for me.

- create a autoexec.py file at your userdata folder and under each profile-name-folder under userdata -> profiles -> <profile-name>
- fill each autoexec.py with the following content:

xbmc.executebuiltin('ReloadSkin()')

That will cause a skin reload at every profile switch.

The faded fanart is driving me nuts, otherwise this skin is perfect. How do I make it so that fanart is not faded when the Home Menu is set to Horizontal with widgets?
I'm totally willing to edit files. I have been looking to a lot of XML files already but I can't quite make sense of the logic..

Is there a way I could modify some of the xml files to centre the menu - I just think for my setup it would look a little nicer with just a centred (vertical and horizontal) menu instead.

Sounds like you want a Confluence-style skin  

Not really, it just looks a little odd when you only have a couple of menu items - I just think it would look better centred.

The vertical menu looks ok with just a couple of items on it, but with no widgets it doesn't look great as the fanart is less visible due to the background overlay being more opaque.

hey @jurialmunkey, i have a request. I want to have no fanart in my library view, but also at the same show widget fanart and clearlogo in the Basic home screen

I have some pics to kinda make it clearer.

What I get - I know i can create a playlist, but the images dont match up with the spotlight widget and I dont get clearlogos with a playlist

I've played around with settings such as "date added" or "last updated" and it doesn't seem to take and always seems to resort to alphabetical order, whether ascending or descending is used. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it's not supported yet?

Works fine for me. Not all sorting types work for all widgets though.

For instance, date added only works with local library movies/episodes because it's the date the item was added to library.

Last updated only works for a list of addons because it's the date the addon was last updated.

Is there a way to add library statistics to this skin somehow?
I was using Aeon Nox before and got used to the “total movies, watched movies, unwatched movies, etc” statistics I could add above the main horizontal menu.
I don’t see the total numbers even when I enter the category (Movies, TV shows).

Am I missing something or is this option not available?
