Dear Kodi developers. I cannot thank you enough for the work you do.
Here is an idea that would provide the 'best of all worlds' for the SUBTITLES icon and its features:
- currently, to enable or disable subtitles when playing video on Kodi, the mouse must single-left-click that icon on the lower right taskbar
- upon one click, a giant menu 'pops up' that BLOCKS what is occurring on the screen
- this causes the user to miss action on the ongoing video
- this disruption is 'overkill' when the user only wants to 'turn on/turn off' subtitles, without 'fine tuning' other subtitle settings
Solution
Upon a single-left-click of the subtitles icon on the bottom right...
- a slim mini menu appears that offers three SINGLE-CLICK features: OFF ON CONFIG
- single click to OFF will turn off subtitles WITHOUT blocking any video
- single click to ON will enable subtitles WITHOUT blocking any video
- single click to CONFIG will open the FULL subtitles menu for that Kodi build
thank you kindly for considering my idea
sincerely
